Morphine Prince 109,683 Posted November 19, 2015 Share Posted November 19, 2015 Police in Italy and Sweden tried to track down suspected militants and increased security around public buildings on Thursday after receiving reports that attacks might be planned on their soil following last week's mass killings in Paris. Italy's foreign minister said possible attacks could be aimed at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome or the cathedral or La Scala theater in Milan. In Stockholm, police stepped up their presence around the parliament and main railway stations. Both countries were on a high state of alert to guard against any possible attack. All kinds of financial aid and benefits without even having to speak your language or try to integrate. Even your own flag in your own country is seen as "aggressive". People that bring up concerns are quickly hushed or portrayed as rascists. It's a difficult line, I will admit cause either you are "leftist" or "rascist" like there is no grey area in between with reasonable concerns. With everything that is going on in Belgium and France (for instance) why do you think Sweden would be doing any better with the ghettos you have? This is why we have real racists in our parliaments, because this nation is unable to have a healthy debate about the issue. Instead we've been sweeping everything under the rug and the Sweden Democrates has monopoly on the issue. It's been so for every country that has to deal with a big load of immigrants at the same time. There are not enough people to show them arround or rules enforming some kind of integration. In return you create disgruntled generations of Swedes that have the passport but feel absolutely nothing for their country. I do not mean to slag off Sweden by any means, I been there numerous times and married a Swede. Well one of my friend a Swede said that they are way more politically correct than Danes for example, that's why they talk more about what is right and such in comparison with Danes who don't really care about being offensive. But in a way it's not a bad thing when you see men and women equality and that they try to respect others culture even if integration is difficult I remember a teacher quoting in class something like "We’ll support you, but please be invisible until you are us” Scandinavian model. I thought that was so accurate when I lived in Denmark as being different was disturbing for them like they didn't had the utilisation guide to understand or deal wth foreigners... It's funny what you say about the feminist party, it seems all Swedes are feminists almost and I didn't really understood because they have already so much equality what is left to fight for? But I am sure if I lived in Sweden I would notice why they are still very present... I know I am pretty shocked by the Danes sometimes, I think they don't mean it but they can be so racist it's really we and them mentality and one of the reason I didn't stay, in one hand they want everyone to be equal with Jante law but if you are a foreigner you are automatically below. Haha! Yeah Sweden is like the most equal country in the world when it comes to the men and women factor. And just last week the parliament voted Yes to three mandatory paternity leave months for the father (because maternity leave is a big trap for women trying to make a career and have a family, so by having a few months reserved for the father, employers won't be so afraid to hire women and there's more balance at home) Most feminist issues here are about such practical things as above. And to get more women becoming board members in big company etc. Yeah exactly, they have this kind of backward sense of pride in their country. Oh I had no idea Thorning was trying to become head of UNHCR, that's quite hilarious in an ironic way. I have a few danish friends and they''re all proper human beings and I hope the young generation in Denmark is moving towards the same direction as Sweden! Ah yeah, I'm also extremely worried that Le Pen will capitalize on this horrible terrorist attack and spark a fire within people who maybe didn't vote for her party earlier but just needed a push. It is in times like this we need to be more kind to one and each other more than ever and all these parties representing the opposite is just stupid.
