Supersonic 49,376
A 12-year-old boy has died from gunshot wounds on his way home on the school bus this afternoon in Alsace, France. The boy was fatally shot on board the bus as he left his school in Hégenheim in Haut-Rhin. Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy for possessing the weapon from the incident. It is unclear if the horrific shooting was an intentional attack or an accident but it has been reported the boys got into a dispute before the incident occurred. Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to save the young boy, who is believed to have been in the fifth form at the Three Countries college. MJHolland 12,725
Tragic. I made a comment about France's gun policies the other day on here and someone replied "at least we don't have little kids shooting each other like in Texas." I guess it's not just a U.S. problem... While it is true that this just happened, the frequency of things like happening is so much less in Europe than in the USA. There are gun fanatics all over the world. Luc 4,776
Scary that this is also possible in the EU...
Kabexuela 1,184
I'm sure this has happened more than what we think. Not all news makes it in the mainstream.

I think it's lame to quote me here because ONE shooting happen in comparison to the mess happening in your country. You don't like France we get it, just stay in the US. But what you stand for anyways would create more event like this. Plus you quoted me wrong... bye Sur le sable sur la neige, Sur les images dorées,Sur le front de mes amis, J’écris ton nom

Anyone with (I'm going to go with 3/4 because Trump has half a brain and is an idiot) 3/4 of a brain should be able to see that. 2. I want to go see France so badly (but can't afford it at the moment). 3. Idk what happened in the other topic. 4. A shooting is a shooting. The shootings in France...specifically this one done by a child is not less than those in the US because it is rarer. In fact, it's more important because it could start to mark a shift in the cultural climate for the worse.

I am not saying it's lesser it is a very big deal but it is tiresome of getting lesson about your country and culture by someone who is just delusional about his own and the last time was advocating for people owning guns to prevent terrorist attacks and now quote me saying oh well gun crime also happen in France. No kidding, as if guns magically didn't exist in France.... It's childish that's all. You made valid point anyways I respect your opinion, and yes come to France see by yourself and make your own opinion about us. nativenewyorker 1,190
"Guns don't kill people" why the hell did this kid think it was okay to use a gun on someone over an argument? his dad needs most of the blame for this.

Plus you quoted me wrong... bye Giirrll let's get it straight, I didn't quote you here lol. I think it's cute that you thought I remembered who you are though I get in lots of arguments here, don't take it personally. (Between us two, I just play devil's advocate half the time to get a reaction out of people *evil laugh*) For the record though, I'd like to state that I love France as a country and its people. Even though I disagree with socialism (and france has made major strides to implement private ownership of businesses in the last few decades because it saw its own destruction unfolding), I love their tough stance on ISIS and think the rest of the EU needs to get on board. Also I love how their nuclear program is probably the best in the world. France is definitely one of my favorite European countries and countries in general. Anyways, sorry for making you think I'm childish? I mean no harm by anyone
Shadow 6,697
So sad hearing about children doing horrible things to each other. What has this generation taught them? Innocence has been tarnished and blood has been spilled by a young heart that could have had potential for so much. How did a 7th grader even get a gun in their hands to begin with? Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
