The only reason your country exists (if it's alined with the US as most are) is because my country protects yours with my military. And the only way we can pay for that military is by being capitalistic. If you want to change that, you better be prepared to actually defend yourself if you ever go to war, which btw you'd never be able to afford because solecistic programs are ways too expensive.

We pay for Europe's militaristic protection here in the U.S., you guys should at least take the refugees in under your self-described "amazing" socialist programs.

Your country destabilized the Middle East, gave embargo to Iraq which resulted in death of 1 million kids, invaded Iraq and Afghanistan which resulted in close to 2 million deaths, financed and trained rebels, gave birth to ISIS. Your country continues to bomb Syria and creates more refugees.

Your country has responsibility to take refugees because of all that and 10.000 is not even that much compared to other countries.

Military in Western nation is not really on-topic. The US could afford refugee children by putting higher taxes on the rich.

And c'mon there is not even one single economist opinion.

Yes it does! We can't afford the children because we pay for the world's military! That's a very straightforward concept.

And unlike Europe's government who provide socialist jobs for everybody, the rich are the job creators in this country. Taxing them to the heavens would result in them investing less which is a VERY significant part of our GDP. They do need to pay marginally higher taxes, but they revenue needs to be spent on actual infrastructure, not on kids that will grow up to earn the minimum wage at best.

Do you believe in that? How is it related to topic?

Because people are so quick to try and outcast Muslims or in some cases anything other than their religion. Everyone is starting to dislike Muslims because of something they had nothing to do with, meanwhile, some states of the U.S. are declining to accept refugees.

Maybe you should think of de-militarization and get a little more like Europe.

It's not right that the US rather pay for military then for people. The human should be on first place regardless their religion,race,nationality,s-xuality or gender or social class. And that the rich being the one who create the jobs is fatal, because that allows them to play into politics. Basically the rich are trying to control the worker class.

First of all. The U.S. didn't destabilize the middle east. Europe did with the Crusades buddy. And then they went into Africa and destabilized that by conquering it, including modern day Ethiopia and destabilizing Egypt. And then the Soviets did with the invasions of Afghanistan. Idk where tf you're getting the idea that it's the US's fault lololol.

And if we weren't putting pressure on terrorism, you'd be getting paris attacks every week across Europe. You're far closer to the Middle East than the US is and we actually have tight border security and monitoring unlike the vast majority of the European continent.

So I think what you are trying to say is thank you? The point of all this is to show that America has already done enough for the world, it's time for Europe to finally take one for the United Nations team and handle the refugees that are showing up at YOUR door.

Many people on here claim that Europe is far more humane and better than the U.S., so prove it. Handle this ONE problem.

Actually Soviets brought some human rights in the Middle East. The US supported the rebel groups which lead to that the rebels one and lead some countries into very islamic countries.

Thank you for creating more terrorism and more refugees.

You went all the way to crusades, you might as well talk about genocide of the Natives and slave trade.

Blind patriots like you will never admit your country ever did anything wrong.

That's why you never learn from your mistakes.

The U.S. has a Muslim/Christian president

Obama isn't Muslim, that's just something a lot of Republicans say to try to discredit him because the U.S. has had an Islam shaped chip on its shoulder since 9/11.

OT: I can't believe these people are really supporting turning away children and their families after their homes have been ravaged by war and extremism. I guess anyone with brown skin and a Qur'an is seen as the enemy these days.

What a fun idea. I'd like to live in a world peaceful enough not to have a super military power but we don't live in that world.

I'm done with this discussion of adult topics with you teenagers. Peace out

I'm not a teenager neither is lego, how dare you. Just because we don't agree with you doesn't mean that our opinion are less value than yours.
