What version is he playing? It's quite an insensitive thing considering he's not playing it very well at all.

no negativity on this site, thank you

It sounds different than usual because he's playing the singing melody with a hand

No. That's not why it sounds different at all. The fact that it's 90% the wrong keys might be the reason. And the lack of a constant speed. At one point it's so fast he almost started rocking out.

I love the irony of you talking about insensitivity in your first post. This thread is not about if his performance is good or not. It's about rejoicing, the symbol of the performance and the song itself.

If someone had turned up in front of the building and sung like a bad xfactor audition would it have been a beautiful gesture? That's what this is to my ears. If you're going to play publicly, especially after something like this, you'd better be good. He isn't.

it's not the performance that matters but the meaning behind it. So what if he isnt that good? He came near the Bataclan where dozens of people got murdered, and played a song about peace and love. I'm not denying that his performance isnt really good, i noticed it too, but that's just  NOT the point.

The guy is playing a song in honor of victims that died yesterday, and you are focused on criticizing the way he's playing? How sad and pathetic. Have some ****ing respect. It's a nice gesture.

Go play it yourself, how you like it then, stop complaining. He had a lot of wits to do this and stand up to critisism that people (like you) are going to throw. Meaning and message >>>>> How "good" it sounds
