PrinceGaga 7,644
Terrorism fears have struck London with Gatwick Airport evacuating it's north terminal. The UK development comes just hours after Paris was rocked by a ruthless series of terrorist attacks killing at least 150 people. No official reason has been released for the evacuation. There are unconfirmed reports a man has been arrested after a gun and a hand grenade were found in luggage. Gatwick is the UK's second largest airport. BBC London is reporting a "suspect package" is behind the security scare - information the BBC says came through Suss-x police. Source

ShockPop 7,747
...and definitely not linked with the refugee episode at all. Once again softy lefty do-gooders fail to ensure anyone's safety in the name of "helping". Congratulations. what's next? Yes it's terrible that these people had to flee their country, but it's even more terrible that our countries have allowed everyone in without realistic caution. Also, stop presenting your opinions as fact. I had to correct you in a thread about the UK within the EU a couple of days ago for presenting your thoughts as undeniable facts, and here I am doing it again. Of course I know what a refugee is. Unfortunately, there were no precautions taken with them and terrorists came in with them. The evidence is here in London and Paris. i will present my opinion as fact as much as I like. I shouldn't have to underline everything I say with "in my opinion" because it's pretty obvious what it is. You didn't "have" to correct me about anything, and you're not here doing anything again. What even are you? You're not anyone's superior, you don't have a responsibility to uphold your leftist agenda anywhere. If you cannot handle it when people point out that the systems in place have failed and left us all in danger, well perhaps you should go outside into the world every now and then and take a look at how badly these countries are letting down their citizens. Ask the parisians, ask the Londoners, ask the Syrians. The fact of the matter is that in 2 days Paris and London have both been victims of attacks (although London thwarted it) allegedly at the hands of Isis. This comes months after the massive influx of people from the country that Isis has claimed as their own. This comes just months after Isis have said they were going to come in with refugees and people ignored them. Well done. You're right and I'm wrong, now let's just watch all the people getting attacked and rest well in the knowledge that at least the refugees were allowed to do as they pleased for the most part. Ridiculous. The idea was to flee the violence, not bring it here.

I understand what you're saying, but I think that the importance of the refugee crisis over the summer was negligible. Sure, it made it easier for terrorists/potential terrorists to get into Europe, but they would have found their way nonetheless.

uranus 150
Europe needs to bring back it's border checks asap, even if it's only during the crisis, we need much tighter checks on who we're letting in. I don't mean that nastily, but it's true, chances are, if we had border checks like the majority of the rest of the world instead of the freedom of movement, we could have avoided the devastating Paris attacks. I mean, it's not for definite, but it would have decreased the chances of it happening. don’t you know my a** is famous
