Nothing wrong with basic ass Christmas. And just you know, thats what millions of ppl like and want for Christmas. Should she be doing heavy metal Garden panty bobs wearing Dress made out of oli turkcey meat? Its a damn family Holliday and for kids too!

I probably am NOT going to like this and dont really like Katy, but I am sick and tired of The hate other girl's get on this site.

Please don't bring Kylie into all of this. She has been doing tongue in cheek camp for decades. Everybody is expecting her to make a glittery gay Christmas record because it's what she does, it's part of her brand (the album isn't even that camp so you don't really have a clue what you're saying, but I digress)

Katy however, and I'm not dragging, has been hinting at an evolution and artistic growth for the better part of the back half of the Prism era. Okay. Then why is she planning to release this video with dancing gingerbread men and presents who look right out of her SB performance? Never mind the fact that she was saying the exact same thing after Teenage Dream, talking about how her next era would be dark, and burning the blue wig, to then roll out Prism. Personally that's my problem with it, and at the end of the day I don't mind that much because it's just for a Christmas song, but if she pulls the same **** for her next album she is probably going get dragged for it and deservedly so

Well yes I sort of agree and trust me I will drag her IF she keeps saying she will "grow as an artist" and delivers same kiddy pop basic stuff. I hate if ppl pretend to be something than they are not. 

However, that doesnt really apply to family Holliday song. Its unrelated. Christmas songs/albums usually are basic and cliche stuff for ALL and mostly "side project" so for that reason Katy shouldn't be dragged.

And as I said, I will judge her own album in very different criterias.  

And I just through Kylie, mariah whoever just to say these Holliday albums are done by pretty much everyone and don't necessary relate to their "actual" work.

It looks fun and pretty  I'm not really sure what else people would expect from a Christmas song, I doubt it was ever going to be a The One That Got Away or Thinking Of You type of music video considering the subject matter and vibe

That wasnt really The point. It was more about holliday releases being very basic and cliche etc. And done like every year. Mostly for commercial purposes.

Though her recent releases or tours "success" can be argued, I don't want to. I respect her legacy. So I wont even go there. And I shouldn't have called her no career, sorry for that. Her past alone guarantees a career.
