jxckk 959 Posted November 12, 2015 Share Posted November 12, 2015 that was such a good episode, it finally felt like the plot was beginning to come together more and as the episodes go on more chaos is going to happen. the tristan and liz thing was random but i think it worked because i don't think it should have been something to build on. it was a secret between them, i don't think ryan and the writers wanted the audience to know until now. that ending scene with the countess killing tristan was probably one of her best acting scenes yet. this episode was one of her strongest. i actually started to separate lady gaga from the countess and seen the countess as a stand alone character. i didn't really mind the s-x scenes this episode because they all added to the story, tristan and liz obviously to show the relationship between the two, the countess and will to show his "struggles" sleeping with a girl and obviously she's trying her hardest to crack him to make him fall in love with her and then we had john and the two swedish girls which was about his further decent into madness in the hotel. i thought that ramona and the countess would have came face to face in this episode but i'm hopefully thinking that thats something that we will see later on in the season when the two meet again. the murder house flashback was probably one of the best things of all the seasons, it just feels so nostalgic and adds a different dimension to the murder house when you see more of its history. gagzus 16,004 Posted November 12, 2015 Share Posted November 12, 2015 i love the contrast between her ruthless nature when killing Tristan and her emotional nature when she realised her son was hurt. Gaga's performance is becoming so much more layered, I think she may slowly become better than Jessica Lange to me. I can't wait for her to do a movie in a major role since she said she wanted to. doveve 526 Posted November 12, 2015 Share Posted November 12, 2015 As you watch this series, you witness how evil is the Countess, but at the same time you see her emotional, soft side and every time she does something evil, you try to justify her actions in your mind. Like you see her cold-heartedly killing someone, but at the same time you see her being broken and emotional and then you see her holding her deformed baby. So, you have these conflicting feelings about her all the time. You want her to die, but at the same time you want her to finally find peace in life and be happy. You hate her but you love her too. I like this a lot. Speaking about Gaga's acting, she's inproving a lot in every scene. At first I was sceptical, maybe because I tried to evaluate her performance and paid too much attention to every detail. Now I simply enjoy her acting. I see her as a Countess and I think she perfectly portrays Countess' emotions. LIke the scene where she was worried about her baby being hurt. That was so good. Of course I look at Countess and see Gaga and appreciate her beauty, but at the same time I view her as a Countess. Gaga's getting better and better.
