And her fans are diverse and are not just monsters anymore.  There are fans of her jazz, fans of her Sound of Music performance that hope she will do more like that, and fans of her talent as a singer that hope she will do many other things such as rock/metal.

Well Madonna and a lot other artists tried A LOT of different things too. And I actually wouldn't even have a problem if she MADE jazz music..But what she is doing is just karaoke.She is not doing anything creative atm.She is just singing old songs.

It didn't fail but it was less successful than the previous eras.

All the monsters complained than BTW was too dark, too preachy, too serious, that they wanted fun music... So she made ARTPOP which is full of fun pop music. The monsters loved it in the beginning and then changed their minds when the era was not a giant commercial success.

Gaga should follow her heart and not what her fickle fans want.

Sis.. She became famous with pop and her fans loved her for her pop. It's OBVIOUS that her fans that stanned her for pop with be sad with jazz.. Btw I don't really care if it's pop. Covers are just something to begin with, we all know she already wrote some original jazz songs.  She did pop-covers too at the beginning of her career.

And most important thing about these unpleasant covers is that she put out CtC while she was on tour. Now she's doing this project while filming AHS, and it will air till late January if I remember. We could get nothing instead. And she is writing for LG5 all the time and already did some recordings.

Adele and Rihanna fans seem to wait for 4 years. We Monsters are one of the luckiest fanbases indeed, Gaga just wants to make sure that LG5 is perfect

Actually that's also my point... I think one jazz album full covers is fine... But one more ?

I would love it even more if Gaga would write few jazz songs on it actually. I'm just tired of her singing covers. What I miss the most is Gaga writing, recording and singing her OWN songs. Showing all her creativity and her art. To me there's no creativity in releasing many covers albums... It's just my opinion. That's why I'm not really interested in an album that was said being full of Coler Porter covers. And that's why I only care for LG5 for the moment. 

I'm not sure I want pure pop on LG5, I just want HER music... I'm not very keen on getting a new album with Tony because I feel like he's more about doing covers, I don't feel like he would like to create new songs with Gaga..

It's different doing 2-3 covers than doing 2 ALBUMS of jazz covers. We just know that she wrote 1 jazz song called "Paradise" and we will probably never hear it either.

Btw Rihanna has been releasing an album EVERY YEAR for like 5 years so she needed a break. So she is not a good example..Adele on the other side had a child and she doesn't really have a close relationship with her fanbase or something (Even tho I really love her)

I have the same feeling. And not only concerning Lady Gaga... I never really liked artists releasing albums with only covers...

CtC was very good, no doubt of it, she did a great work, she deserves all the success she had. And she has a great chemistry with Tony. But I think if she wants to release another jazz album with him she really should bring something new to it, like songs she has created. Actually it would be a great surprise ! And I would be here for it ! If it's only a new CTC, I'm not really excited...

Tbh I think that the next jazz album will hardly sell 300-400k worldwide. I hardly even bought C2C. Even tho it was good for her image I still believe that a cover album doesn't deserve my coins. I only bought it because it was Gaga tbh

while I'm here for Gaga writing her own jazz, that statement just proves a complete lack of understanding of jazz, jazz history, and how Gaga approaches performing these songs.   But 90% of fans on GGD don't have the musical and historical understanding of jazz to appreciate this.
