Dramatica 13,690
People who say "I don't care if her music succeeds, as long as I like it". Are basically saying : "I don't care if she goes bankrupt, as long as I can listen to her songs". I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time. Water can't be wet because it is covered in water in its normal state. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

GloZell Green 11,723
Well obviously, I mean she needs it to live. If not she'd be singing on the street asking for money. cmon, she's about music not the bling but she still needs it. Lady Gaga | Shakira

Ray of Light 8,134
Not really, not money anyways. Endless of human tribes flourished very successfully without currency, and many tribes still do esp. in Africa and deep within the Amazon area of South America. They may not be advanced, but they SURVIVE. I get the point she's trying to make, I just love being cynical about the **** Gaga says & contradicting her because BTW and ARTPOP didn't live up to their commercial success potential. Are basically saying : "I don't care if she goes bankrupt, as long as I can listen to her songs". That's one way to read it, and I think it's inaccurate. The first statement is sensible, because it's not our business. It's not our job to keep tabs on how well her songs/albums chart. The most we can do is buy her stuff, but our livelihood doesn't depend on it. But this goes back to the "music not the bling." She is successful no matter what, she's smart and business-savvy (and obviously talented) which is why she made it to this level. But it's more important to most of us that she write music that means something, not manufactured solely for radio play (which hasn't happened, and I don't expect to happen).
