Ariana Grande leaves Jonathan Ross fuming after dropping out of performance

With a crammed schedule, perhaps Ariana Grande just wanted one less Problem to worry about.

The singer dropped a scheduled slot on The Jonathan Ross Show at the last minute, prompting the host to brand her a “lazy f*****”.

The singer, 22, was said to be en route to ITV’s London studios where she was due to perform, following a perfume photocall at a nearby Boots store and a day of radio interviews.

But she failed to appear for the recording of the show, to be broadcast on Saturday.

Wossy raged: “Ariana is in town. We were told she would be in the car at 6pm to be here for 7pm then it got to 7pm and she was not in the car – 7.30pm and she is still not in the motherf****** car. So I don’t think we can hold out much hope.




“I don’t know what it is. We are going to give Ariana the benefit of the doubt and not say anything mean or judgmental. I apologise to anyone who might have come along hoping to see her.

“She was booked but the lazy little f***** has not come. Maybe she has gone to her first Nando’s.”

The host was forced to close the show with his guests Joan Collins, Danny DeVito and Sheridan Smith in a karaoke rendition of Nine to Five.

What is it with singers cancelling British promo performances lately? First Rihanna, now Ariana. And these are big stars, who are used to promo gigs. Artists and labels, please understand that promo is the #1 reason behind single and album sales, so don't blame the public if you fail because you pulled out of promo slots on some of the most-watched tv shows in the country. Ariana especially is in desperate need of British promo. Problem went to #1 only because it was on pre-order for 2 months (because she certainly didn't promote here). Focus is her first top ten single here (she wouldn't have got even #10 if streaming wasn't included). Break Free is her only top 20. Both her albums have sold less than 400k and neither have gone to #1. She only had 4 arenas dates here for her tour. Before Problem, most people didn't even know who she was. Someone like that desperately needs promo. I don't get it, so many singers would walk across hot coals to perform on shows like this and these American artists just don't think they need to try as they only understand success in American terms.

I hope she reschedules, Johnathon Ross is my fav TV interviewer from the UK. I hate Graham Norton and can only tolerate Alan but Johnathon always gives great interviews and the performances on his show are cool. Gaga pissed me off when she didn't go on his show back in 2013/2014.

If this were the My Everything era where Ariana was promoting her ass off, I'd understand this but Focus has had no televised performances yet so I think this is more u excusable.
