Klou 2,414
Donatella, Jewels N Drugs, Mary Jane Holland etc. These songs are listenable for like 1 month. Kind of true I thought I was going to roll my eyes, but I agreed with almost everything you said.

BeautyisaLie 1,272
I think that working with RedOne is a good thing, they have incredible chemistry and also I can tell that he knows the difference between **** radio-friendly-poor-but-successful-production, and good music. I wonder if Gaga already has the main concept of the album in mind.. 🎼 It's dark but just a game. 🖤🎧
GloZell Green 11,723
Gaga X RedOne = Eargasm, really simple. Anywho I would love for the album to be played over and over without ever getting old. Lady Gaga | Shakira
Brooke Hoegan 1,018
Just a great song and not someone trying to shove art down people's throat 24/7 while giving 1000 interviews explaining the meaning of a song/album with the pretentious attitude: <<i'm a real artist and i have nothing to do with the other pop girls, i make art blah blah blah>>. This is so unnecessary and wrong, just let your views and your artistic spirit speak for itself through your music, your videos and your performances. People will judge whether you are a real artist or not, your own words won't verify anything. this x 1000

Jordynmosaic 9
You need to think about it like this:After the underperformance of ARTPOP, which Gaga herself realised, she had to reinvent herself in a way that wasn't just to promote a new concept for another album. She had to let the GP see that she was human, because ARTPOP actually isolated her from the public. She had bought into her own hype and had become a product of herself. Cheek to Cheek let people see that there WAS a voice under all the costumes and pretence. Her performance at the Oscars received rave reviews and the GP were finally beginning to see Gaga in a new light as an actual human being - not a product. Her engagement to Taylor Kinney also showed her as a person with a real life outside of the artsy facade. And her stint on American Horror Story: Hotel has shown that she is not just a one-trick pony. When Gaga debuted in 2008, she shot to international fame way too soon. She had to come down to Earth. 2015 is the year that the phoenix has steadily risen from the ashes, and has cleared all the bad air for Gaga to begin again in 2016. You can put on a new costume and pretend everything is fine again, but you need to really hit rock bottom in order to rise to the top again.
PrinceGaga 7,585
Honestly I think the biggest worry from the people that love her pop side is that if the next album is serious, that it won't bop. A lot of people are understandably not a fan of the Jazz covers or the down tempo releases ala TIHTY. Gaga has said the next album is pop. Gaga has said the next album is deeper than ARTPOP though. (Do people forget that the first thing Gaga said about ARTPOP is that it was intentionally an immature record???) with us knowing she is working with RedOne and Giorgio Moroder we know the album will be dance. But it won't be about random subjects. So basically we are getting a slightly more disco infused Fame Monster, but with lyrical content that is much more driven by soul and personality and less on gimmicky visuals (like ARTPOP). LG5 will be massive, folks. I'm not kidding, you need to get into marketing or advertising or something because both your posts just got me the most hyped I have been so far for the album. NewYorkCity 10,536
Agerr with everything except for the Adele part. Adele's success is coming from hype tbh. Anyway, yes, she needs to re-think about the promotion, but I think Bobby has a different vision than the previous one and he will do it as we all want About the music, everything you said. (I still love ARTPOP tho)
Killa 17,461
I disagree with some of you guys. She has a great sense of humor that i think she simply exploit that potential in a more refined way.Lady Gaga isn't just about a record. An album is such an old fashion thing. Lady Gaga is very much about the visuals, fashion, story than just music. That way we're channeling her "inner wannabe Fiona Apple" from NYC days. She's no Richard Wagner but she has the most potential in the mainstream to be a vehicle for a way more democratic state of culture.I'd like for her to go further in what she did but in a more serious and pertinent way. Sometimes she's a bit too american, i'm sorry if it comes as offensive, but.. She tries to get away from the mold but it's deep within her education. That is something we still need. She's much conformed than she tries to appear. So i say no to a timeless record. I want her to break the canon or create a new one. She wansn't completely out of the track. The taste level and the overall composition and substance level just weren't enough.
LynpheaStar 886
I agree that LG5 will be an important album career-wise. She has shown in 2015 that people are here for her as an singer and public person. But she will have to deal with her relevancy on the charts this spring, so I really do hope that the LG5 lead is going to slay.In my opinion the GP is not over Gaga, they love seeing her act human but also be the crazy chic she's known for. And I think this mix should be represented in the era.I have a personal feeling that LG5 will deal with her own character and how she's dealing with issues/stuff in general her own way... But we'll see (hopefully!!!!11) very soon.Oh and the OP should calm the f down and listen to some JazzGa and drink some tea
gagzus 15,831
Actually the common opinion from people who want to like her or the GP in general is, she needs to be how she was in 2009 sonically and visually so I'd say if she wants success she needs to create an album and aesthetic like a modernised version of The Fame. I'm not on about lyrically or message wise, but sonically she needs to update the electronic sound on radio like she did before in America. So i'd say Disco or House is her best bet as it's upcoming in America. But personally I want a very 80s sounding record so much that it actually sounds like it was released in the 80s, with synths, guitar, strings, live drums etc. Or i'd also want the album to be EDM and be it for all tracks instead of just like 5 on ARTPOP since most of AP was actually just Electronic Pop and not actual EDM other than Aura, G.U.Y., J&D, Swine & Donatella
Ronk 14,762
I mean.....I just feel like the combo of Gaga being depressed, therefore coming off pretentious, Troy leaving, the hip causing the delay, the competition with Katy, Miley, Britney, Timberlake, the fact that 90% of the album was revealed before release, the less than impressive VMA performance and being outshines by Miley as the "crazy one", and the fact that the media was tearing her apart: It was the perfect storm for an ARTPOP to flop. She had everything working against her. It actually surprises me that ARTPOP did as well as it did, looking back. If all that **** happened to Katy Perry or Rihanna or Beyoncé, they would have flopped into oblivion and never achieved even 100k first week sales. Thats why I am in no way really worried about LG5. Gaga has everything going right for her. Looking at LG5, she is in a happier place, the media loves her, she has respect as a true vocalist, and a movie song for an indie film no one in the GP has heard of scored 10 million views in a couple days. With Bobby slaying as a manager, with her not revealing one thing about the album, and with her showing a much more relatable side, I'm very confident LG5 will be a different album for Gaga, and a commercial success the size of 1989. Honestly. Not even that worried. The woman hasn't had a number one hit in nearly five years and still manages to come become Billboards Woman of the Year along with with the #4 spot of highest female earners. This. And 2015 has shown that Gaga doesn't even need pop. It has been a great year for her without releasing or performing any pop. She could have a great career doing jazz, rock, TV, movies, who knows what else (Broadway, perhaps), or anything ... the sky's the limit. I agree that LG5 will probably be pop, but unlike many here, I don't think it's necessary for her career. I live outside the space time continuum.
