If she was a salesman or corporate drone she'd be "defined by numbers" too and if she suffers from anxiety/depression she'll be miserable. She was an Instagram model for clothes and other beauty products. Nothing wrong with that. But I can get how it took a toll of her self-esteem. I feel like social media has turned into who can get the most likes/comments/views instead of being a way to connect and share with people/friends/family. It's fake and I see right through it. I don't post a lot of any of my social media platforms because of some of the reasons she's stating. I don't like the feeling I get when I post a tweet and get no favorites, or when I get 20 something likes on an Instagram picture and I follow friends who get 120 likes. I don't want any part of feeling like my value and self worth revolves around stuff like that because it doesn't, it's not real life. I have some amazing relationships with people and I love my friends and family. I don't need artificial things to tell me that I'm an amazing person. I have noticed recently with Vine that it started to turn into more of a business than just fun 6 second videos or when Gigi Gorgeous talked so much ish about Patene in one of her videos and then months later was sponsored by them and praised them up and down. It's so fake. It's turned into a shallow marketing campaign. I'm not going to buy what you're selling, I'm gonna scroll right through your post.
