Skrillex brands deadmau5 a "bully" and a "sad old washed up asshole"

EDM star Skrillex has accused Deadmau5 of "bullying" during a Twitter spat.

The two electronic producers argued on Twitter over Deadmau5's record label, as well as Justin Bieber.

Skrillex, who got support from Deadmau5 - real name Joel Zimmerman - early in his career, wrote on Twitter to his fellow producer: "I dont care bout ur personal career but the fact that u own ur own record label is sad. I feel sorry for the artists you've signed. I'm forever grateful for the mau5's early support but the reality is sad. He's shriveling In his own pile of hateful shit."

Deadmau5 then took a jibe at Skrillex's recent collaborations with Justin Bieber, writing: "Lemme borrow the lil popstar for a week, mash together a radio hit in 23 minutes."

Skrillex later said: "You can ignore bullying but at some point you have to stand up for yourself and your friends. He's a sad old washed up asshole".

This follows on from a recent spat between the two as Deadmau5 criticised Skrillex's music, calling his Jack Ü collaboration with Bieber "shit".
