Gaga was accused for somethings all artists do now, and did before.

Secondly: ARTPOP. Everybody trashed the album, now... every artist has or will have or had since ARTPOP.. their ARTPOP era.......................

Every time an artist claims to do something they're not living up to, they're gonna be shot down. Just look at the mass media hatred about Tidal.

The reason Gaga was so ridiculed shortly after Applause was because of her statements about ARTPOP and her then (admittedly) ironic and ugly commercial tactics (one example: Gaga gave away a meet and greet to the fan who bought Applause the most times).

The obvious truth is (so obvious that I'm surprised you made this thread to be completely honest lol) that if Gaga didn't come up with the whole ARTPOP message, no one would've cared about her Twitter promo etc.

I noticed that the media tends to hate on someone and then people are like sheep and just follow whatever everyone seems to say. It became a trend to hate on Gaga, just like it was with Iggy this year, and Demi is always ridiculed to a lesser extent.

Hopefully, Gaga had her time and they will be nicer to her with her next pop era.
