LaLuna 12,732
TF: Summerboy (honestly, I think I've only listened to that song two or three times since the album came out). TFM: Speechless (It's not a bad song, just not my favorite) BTW: Highway Unicorn, The Queen and the entire bonus CD ARTPOP: Jewels N' Drugs and Mary Jane Holland

jojuun 4,159
The Fame: Again Again Doesn't work as a closer, should've remained in the vault. I feel like Fooled Me Again (Honest Eyes) would've worked better here, especially as it was featured in The Fame Part One mini-movie. Lyrically it totally describes where she was at the time with her relationship. The Fame Monster: Teeth Just like Again Again on The Fame, this one doesn't work as a closer for the album. I loved it live on the Monster Ball but it would've fitted better near Alejandro since I think Teeth has a slightly Latin feel to it. Would love to see Teeth in a reworked Latin version on a tour some day. It's still a really good song, just not worthy as the last track on her most acclaimed album in my opinion.Born This Way: The Queen I know it's a fan favourite but I just dislike the cheesy melody. When the twinkly intro begins I press the forward button in my iTunes. I have now unselected it from my playlist. Good thing she left it off the standard version. Too much going on, lyrically all over the place, it sounds like a draft.ARTPOP: Swine/Dope I feel like I need a shower after both of them to be honest, I feel dirty when listening to them. Maybe Swine was intended that way but the harshness of the song is just something I cannot get over. I also imagine Gaga as high as a kite whenever I listen to this song. It's just a very negative overall vibe I get off this song. With Dope, while it's vocally the rawest she's ever been on a studio track, which is a good thing, I dislike it being on the album. ARTPOP was described as "an adrenaline rush, an album to play while getting ready for the club with your friends." Tell me where Dope fits in with that description? It's a total vibe killer, it reminds me of her depression and her self-destructive tendencies and I don't like that part of her personality. She's always had that in her, I remember that quote of her in 2010 saying "I prayed to God to install something crazy in me before I was famous" (in reference to her previous d--g days.) And then the 2011 Amanda de Cadenet interview where she admits to doing d--gs in the past because she thought it added to her artistry while it was in fact destructing. I know the added pressures of fame, the injury and her label disputes drove her to do d--gs again circa 2012/13 but I don't like that part of her, as I said before. She knows it's destructive so why go back to it? Therefore maybe I would also have to say Mary Jane Holland but I really love that song's melody, I just could've done without the d--g references on ARTPOP, period. I Like It Rough on The Fame described it best: "prom girl wipes her tears with silver lines." A bad decision, wether it's for a prom girl or a mega popstar. Cheek To CheekNone. I admit to judging C2C differently, I only play the album when I'm in a jazz kinda vibe. And it completely works that way. It's a very cohesive album and her vocals are outstanding. Conclusion: I like cohesive albums. Variety in songs for sure, but it has to be a cohesive piece of work. Not a collection of "things I have recorded over a period of time." I miss that sometimes in the actual music because the messages behind each one of her albums have always been cohesive. Except for ARTPOP to me, that was just a huge mess. Who the hell can relate to "I am every icon"? Someone with multiple personality disorder? You can have eclectic style and have mood swings but the entire album/campaign was just scattered all over the place. To me Born This Way, The Fame and Cheek 2 Cheek are the most cohesive albums she put out.
Teri Hatcher 2,053
Fame: Disco heaven and starstruck idk those songs never stood out to me they're just plain bad with that auto tune (sorry gags, but not really) Fame monster: Teeth. I wouldnt say its a bad song but teeth it's like just an average filler type song born this way: None bc album is flawless but my least favorite on it is government hooker. It's a nice song but not that good lmao idk ARTPOP: jewels and dugs, fashion By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig.
