The difference is that Saudia Arabia etc are known for they violation of Human rights. Meanwhile I don't see people in my Campus to give away Anti-Saudia Arabia flyers. And I don't see huge demonstrations specifically against Saudia Arabia and islamophobic. I don't see any protest against Yemen for expelling all their Jews if they don't convert. Don't see any of that. And that is double standard.

So because you don't have enough people against Saudi Arabia, then people shouldn't voice their opinion about Israel? That just don't make sense, you can't force people to care for what you think is important to you. I care about both Israel-Palestine conflict, and Saudi Arabia human rights violation, is it ok then? Did I pick the proper battles?

No of course not. I just think it's hypocrisy how the world doesn't value and looks away of Jewish lifes like in Yemen :)

And then a huge amount people say that Israel isn't allowed to exists.

OK but I am sorry I still don't understand what your point was with Saudi Arabia and Israel being a Jewish state. There is very little coverage of what is happening in Yemen, honestly I have never heard about it, but considering the media attention that the Israeli Palestinian conflict has it makes sense that people will be more talkative about it. I don't think BDS is there to say that Israel shouldn't exists, but that what they do is illegal (the government). I know you are Jewish and more concerned by it but sometimes it seems to me you mix up everything and jump to conclusion that most people don't do, not everyone is anti semitic nor anti Israeli. You can still cirticise Israel and be sympathetic to Jews in Yemen. Yet I don't see why people taking part in BDS should also say "oh but what happens in Yemen sucks" especially if they know nothing about it. Again people pick their battle. Also I want to point out that often Israel is criticized because among other Middle Eastern countries, it pretends to be on the same standard as most western countries when it comes to human rights, in some aspects they may be (woman, gay rights...) but it makes sense then than people are a lot less forgiving to what is going on because Israel shouldn't do such war crime if they want to be considered having such standard.

Well "pick their battle" firstly because the whole world never really cared about Jews.

Ofc you can't criticise Israel but did you ever saw a BDS protest ? Here in my city was one. Celebrating the intifada, Israeli death etc.

There is no one standing up for Jews in large scale except for Jews.

Stand for Palestinians, idc. I'm generally frustrated lately.

Hate speech =/= free speech

So it's only free speech as long as you like what they have to say?

Sorry but if you start your first sentence with no one cares about Jews it just doesn't work. I think we can still debate without playing victims and such?

So why would France not allow boycott if they didn't care about Jews? If they didn't care they wouldn't make boycotting such a problem...I still don't think that it wasn't right to make a law against boycotting but clearly saying no one cares about Jews isn't true.

There is BDS posters all over my campus so yes I know what BDS looks like and it can also look civilized with people giving speech about it and I haven't seen any violent BDS protest, sure your experience could be negative but generalizing everything is just incorrect.

Again I disagree with you saying no one is standing up for Jews, just look at the funding they get from Western countries to sustain their war. again I don't know in what situation you live in but I think it's false, there is a lot of political correctness in Canada at least regarding israeli and Jews, sure some people are pro Palestinian but overall you could say it's 50/50.

Yes I think Palestinians deserve rights like anyone, does it makes me anti Isreali and criminal to have such opinion? Maybe it's better to stop the conversation if you have to be emotional everytime people cirticize Israel actions and make it a problem that we don't care about Jews. Sometimes I feel you are just convinced that everyone hates Jews and it's easier to be a victim that actually admit what Israel is doing may be wrong and people don't agree with that. Israel being a Jewish state doesn't have anything to do with it. I am done I have work for uni and I don't need to prove that I care about Jews, believe what you want

I read your OP and I read the official crime. There's nothing in both that even comes near to what you're saying, so I don't know how I'm supposed to know that.

In any case, if they called for the slaughter of Jews they should've been condemned for that, not for calling for a boycott, and that is what they are condemned for so all of our points still stand and yours is besides the point.

That's my take on this...France is allowing anti-Muhammid cartoons that offend Muslim fundamentalists.

So rallying for an economic boycott of Israel should be within their civil rights.

Inciting hate and murder is illegal,  accept in Arab countries with Imam's apparently.

It's no a personal attack on you, because I know your stances.

You are talking about your expierence and I tell you about mine experience with them.

"I don't know in what situation you live in but I think it's false" Why is your experience more valued than mine ? I'm highly offended by that and didn't expect that from you.

You see that so black and white. You all don't see what BDS protestors are saying and that is unbelievable. You can be pro-palestine without being anti-semitic, but a huge amount of people in BDS are anti-semitic. Why don't you all just get that?! Tons of them saying Israel should not exists, of course.

Yemen does ****, nobody gives a ****. Saudia Arabia does ****, nobody gives a ****. China does ****, nobody gives a ****. But when Israel does ****, suddenly Jews all over the world getting harassed.

Simon I never said your experienced was less valued, just that what you experience in your city isn't what BDS is everywhere. You are in Germany, I am in Canada of course our experience are gonna be different so when I say it's false, I meant that I disagree when you say no one stand up for Jews except Jews. There is tons of association here for Jews and allies to Israel and such. If no one would stand up for Jews do you really think no country would have already intervene in the conflict? They don't because they consider Israel as their ally and I think the fact it's the only state for Jews matters a lot in such decision.

No actually I don't see that Black and white? I just told you that of course some will be violent but generalising the whole movement isn't correct; there are student at my uni supporting BDS they aren't violent, they aren't antisemite calling for Jews to be slaughtered, so I don't think it's fine to call them out just because they support a boycott and nothing more. No need to get angry I know people are anti semitic too, it's not necessary to mention it over and over.

I am not even gonna answer to your last sentence, I think you are so focused on Israel that you only see when they are asked to be accountable (which is normal with the standards of democracy people expect from them and they don't have it right now).

I agree with most people on that France took ridiculous juridical decisions but it might not be one of them...

Most terrorist organizations also call themselves freedom fighters, guerillas, activists etc... So there are two perspectives to this specific subject.

If their speeches are limited to "boycotting Israeli products" etc, which means if their speeches are against the State of Israel then it is okay. Website might be subjective, but they say their speeches were anti-semitist. If true, banning the organization is legit, on the basis of organizations' irrationally discriminative speeches, and tries to create hate in public towards a certain demographic...

It is not double standard. Context is different. They do whatever they do with their own citizens.

Israel's actions are on Palestine, and palestinian people...

*IF*  Back in the days of the PLO  Arafat would negotiate with the west and claim to be fighting for freedom and equal rights ect.. but his 'speeches' were pure venom and incitement of terrorist acts.

I would like to see if there is any evidence of the BDS leaders making anything other than 'boycott their economy' speeches.

thank you for this! They even target non-Israeli Jews who normally go to kosher shops etc. Because kosher shops have a lot stuff from Israel. BDS is disgusting.

BDS just using the conflict and using the pain of the Palestinians to spread their hate toward the Jews and Israel..

I will keep spreading peace, co-existing and love, something that BDS will never understand and will never do.
