I think as the world around the Countess starts slipping away from her control we will get much more range from Gaga in her portrayal. Teri Hatcher 2,053 Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 Ignorant people are saying that her face is like a blank canvas BUT the countess is supposed to be a cold character because she was born in 1904 and has lost so many people and her acting gives depth to the character. A cold, mysterious, wicked presence, it's difficult to describe but matches perfectly with her character. I'm really impressed. Her character has a tough wall but like when she found out Ramona cheated on her and she was crying her acting was really good. Hopefully we'll see more raw emotional scenes relating to the countess in the future episodes By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig. asana15 16,648 Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 With Holden's temperature being 75.5F, I don't thing the Countess' temp is much higher.That is why she's so cool (almost cold), calm and collected.I think it's a conscious acting on her part, and she does it skilfully. At least for me.The problem here is that we do know her oh so well, that we are having hard time seeing the character behind the GAGA' persona. Further down the road when different events start to appear in her life, I think we'll get to see more dimensions in her portrayal.But for now, she is doing very well for my money. I think she's gonna get better and better with each episode.I think she needs to work a bit on her face cuz it's frozen most of the time.
