She is counter suing because he is taking her to court. It is a way to answer the original suit in US courts. It can make people with ridiculous lawsuits drop them. (Which this lawsuit is an example of) Counter suits can also discourage others that don't have a case from suing you. Taylor didn't sue in the first place, because she didn't want a monetary outcome. She simply reported the abuse to the appropriate people, so that it could be handled...so that the radio station would know what happened and not put this pervert in this position again.
