Do you think Gaga is summing up her career way too early?

Gaga has recently started to sum up her career choices and sort of hint it was all just an act.

Quotes like "I invented Lady Gaga, I curated my life to be an expression of my pain.", "I'll sign this as both Lady Gaga Stefani Germanotta" make me wonder if Gaga is trying to sum up the image that was Lady Gaga and perhaps lead to a future with just Stefani now.

Do you think it's a little too early? Gaga is still not in her fifth album and is already 'scrapping' in a way part of what made her famous in the first place.

I do believe she's really bored of LADY GAGA'S fame, I'm pretty sure she's still feeling in a cage, you know, being that character who made her famous. Sometimes I'm afraid about Stefani letting Gaga go, but if she ever want to be her old self again then I'm ****ing here for it, I really want her to be happy.

She summed up her career as Lady Gaga, but if she so chooses, I am sure that she could continue to have a career as herself. I do not think that it is too early. It was bound to happen as soon as she became more comfortable with herself.

I don't think that she is completely scrapping the idea of Gaga. I think she used it as a coping mechanism during the turmoils of her growing up.

That being said, I don't feel as though she used it as an act. I think Stefani and Lady Gaga do share many similarities. If she is being more genuine by setting aside the entire Gaga "look" then I'm all for it. She has said time and time again that it is best to be yourself, and if that is what she is doing then I support her wholeheartedly.

P.S. She looks absolutely stunning in that picture!

I mean, she basically explained it.. she created Lady Gaga as "an idea" of herself to get through the darkness in her head. It seems to me that that darkness has passed, so it's actually very understandable that at this point in her life she feels like she can express herself in a new way, a way in which she doesn't have to cling to her creativity (or her fans) to get her through life.

So no.

It does sound like she is interpreting that she wants to scrap the Gaga.

I hope she doesn't. It's the Gaga that differentiates her to every other female artist. It is the persona we have been used to for the past 7 years.

If she does scrap the main thing that made her famous, it is a big risk, but we all know she has a powerhouse voice so how can we predict?

In my messy era.

To be happy is the greatest human achievement, so I follow her into whatever happiness she finds.

Highway10

remember her Marry The Night quote?

'When I look back on my life It's not that I don't want to see things exactly as they happened
It's just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way and truthfully the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it clinical psychology tells us arguably that trauma is the ultimate killer
Memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics they can be lost forever
It's sort of like my past is an unfinished painting and as the artist of that painting I must fill in all the ugly holes and make it beautiful again it's not that I've been dishonest
It's just that I loathe reality'

I always that thought was a hint too something

She's just ending the beginning of her career like she said when she was doing C2C.

This is true, even though it's weird because she actually said that ARTPOP would mark the beginning of the rest of her career (this was actually the point of the app: it would be part of her career forever).

It's really sad that this era completely fell apart to end up with Gaga nearly breaking down entirely around the end of 2013. Her experience with Tony must indeed have felt like a phoenix rising from the ashes, even though she could never have predicted that and actually used that image to explain ARTPOP, which turned out to be the ashes :air:

I think she made it pretty clear in that speech yesterday though that there is no clear distinction between Gaga and Stefani - it's part of herself and it will always be, in one way or another.

I think, whatever she's doing, let her be...frankly, she's just trying to find herself and grow up, let her do what she has to...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

I don't think stefani's scrapping Gaga as a whole, but rather, she's trying to peel off the stigma of invincibility that the media's imposed on Gaga.

It's why she disliked the telephone music video so much; she acts all 'monotone' and 'edgy' to carry on this image of perfection.

I guess she just wants to show that she's human, even at the cost of destroying the 'image' of Gaga that made her famous. The truth is, no one can carry such a fierce image for so long like Gaga did.

You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.
