At 1:24:50 when that girl calls Gaga, Lady!  I just love it when Gaga tries to hold back her laugh.  Probably reminds her how Tony calls her that.  Who's hyped for C2C Part Deux?

Me! ^^

Nature vs nurture. A nun and a murderer can come from the same parents.

Why did you suffer silently for years? Did you not have good parents? Is that why you belive that parents can somehow magically keep their kids from depression?

I dont think parents can magically keep their kids from depression.. I think people who are overly sensitive to the point of committing suicide are heavily effected by their parents at a young age. They always either turn into bullies or become their own bully with self destruction but at the end of the day we have a choice and thats why some people are murderers and others are nuns. And yes I have abusive parents but im also effected by everything else and I still suffer from this at age 26.

Or kids suffer from depression because they have a chemical imbalance in the brain. Depression isn't being "overly sensitive". Anxiety isn't simply because you are a "high strung person". There are actual neurotransmitters in people's brains that control their emotional stability. Yes, sometimes it is situational...but sometimes it is chemical...sometimes both.

Children from the same family can have one child that struggles with depression and others that don't.

Of course individuals have a choice, but a million factors play into your ability to make these choices. Remember, we are talking about young kids and teens here. They don't see the world as adults do, as they don't have the experiences yet and their brains aren't even fully formed yet. They are prone to black and white thinking and they can't grasp the concept that most problems will pass...that it will get better. Problems are exaggerated. They also have impulsive tendencies and think short term, not long term. Now....throw a chemical imbalance of brain chemicals on top of that!

That's what Gaga is trying to get across here. Gaga had parents that cared for her and were involved and emotionally available. She has always been and remains close to her parents. Yet, she struggled with anxiety and depression for as long as she can remember.

This was so inspiring to watch as I've struggled with depression and anxiety and overcame it, I'm now using my struggle to help others. I've also enrolled into college and am studying psychology.  Happy times!

The chemical imbalance happens because of childhood traumas, genital mutilation, spanking, lack of nurturing, not being breastfed, isolation in daycare, how they are raised as children and so on.. Yes some people are born with an imbalance in the brain but that only shows effect when its its triggered. If a person with a imbalance in the brain lives in a healthy environment, they will grow up healthy specially that scientists shows that imbalance in the brain can change depending on your environment or exercising your brain. For example, a scientist discovered that psychopaths had different brain size than normal people and he then did a brain scan on himself for his sheet but was shocked to find out that he had a psychopaths brain but he did not have psychopathic tendencies because he lived in a healthy win win environment so he did not have the need to act on his psychopathic brain. His name is James Fallon and wrote a book called the psychopath inside. There is zero evidence that mental illness exists and its just voted into the system without dealing with the root of the problem to sell d--gs. This video explains everything in details if your interested:

Depression happens because there are brain chemicals that go awry. That can be genetic, environmental or situational. Great parents, that do everything right, can have a troubled child and children that aren't. Abusive parents can have psychopaths or children that change the world by helping others. Nature vs. Nuture. One rule doesn't work for all humans and there are no guarantees.

Once again, that's what Gaga is saying here...bring the problems out in the open, have supportive teams, education for teachers, kids and parents, better and more accetable mental health services, adults protecting kids, media (including social media) taking some responsibility. There is more that can be done...other than "oh well, that kid is screwed because he was circumcised or wasn't breast fed".

Gaga is saying that the internet should be censored and I am completely against that as its the only free thing we have today that is somewhat not controlled by the government and as soon as we ask for laws to censor the internet, the more control they would want. Im a libertarian Anarchist so I wont agree with any kind of regulation unless its against coercion force.

I know it can be genetics but only the environment can trigger the depression genes this is what science says and these are the facts.. your theory is just a theory that is voted into the system to sell more d--gs. Your theory teaches people that they are victims and will forever be one because they were "born this way" but my scientific facts tells people they are victims of an environment that can be changeable. I can link you to side effects of not bonding with your kids on a daily basis and the side effects of not breastfeeding and circumcision if you want. When I say bad parents, I dont mean evil parents that beat their children! most parents think they are doing a good job. Both parents now work all day and put their kids in day care and only see their child when they are extremely exhausted while someone else takes care of them! nobody can talk about the root of the problem because it will challenge our society and our interests. I believe that childhood effects people more than we think and how we treat our children is a karma to the whole society
