bradshaw 266
I doubt it. I think that Gaga will strive to make this her best album if she's going up against Adele again like in 2012. And I wouldn't be so sure about Adele's future Grammy sweep. Norah Jones album "Come Away With Me" sold 26 million copies and swept the competition at the 2003 Grammys literally the exact same situation as Adele's "21" in 2012. Norah Jones follow up album "Feels Like Home" sold 12 million copies in 2004 and was nominated only for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Despite the success of her previous album AND the success of her current album she was only nominated for 2 major awards and only won for BFPVP. Just some info to take into consideration… I'm not denying Adele's impact but she could literally pull a Norah Jones 2.0 … i caught your fever, i'll be feeling it forever
Bellatrix 34,783
I don't see why a Grammy matters to her label ?It's not like they receive any money from Grammies, I believe...They'll release it when they find a profitable window in other people's era schedules.Maybe they don't get money for the Grammy itself but they definitely make money having successful artists on their label.I'm not saying you can't be successful without winning a Grammy, but it is a sweet boost to the career. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

TimisaMonster 31,073
You're right...Interscope makes the deadlines...that's why Gaga was rushing to finish ARTPOP and kept turning it in 20 times saying it was done Although it does seem that Gaga and Bobby have already been planning WHEN the alb and single should come so I'm sure they thought about ALL reasons, including Grammy's, as to the right time to release LG5 Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! JustPokeHerFace 2,564
Who says Adele is going to win? You haven't even heard her album, for all you know it coul dbe ****. My bets are on To Pimp A ButterflyTPAB would be nominated for Grammys in the 2016 show. 25 would be nominated for Grammys in the 2017 show. They wouldn't compete with each other. OT: Labels don't care about Grammys, they want profit. Gaga wouldn't have a lot of competition or musicians starting their eras in Q1-Q2 of the year, so that would be a good time for her to release. Gaga could also get the promotion of a Grammys performance, Brit Awards, and publicity from the Oscars if TIHTY is nominated. Gaga releasing in the first half of the year is doable, as she's been confirmed to have been working on LG5 since December 2014. Plus, Gaga could easily snatch a Grammy or two at the 2016 show if TIHTY is nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media or if the C2C DVD is nominated/wins. If she released Q4 of next year, she would face competition on both the charts and the Grammys from Katy, Taylor, and possibly Beyonce (if that rumor of her releasing this year turns out to be false). Gaga's always going to face competition in the industry (all artists are), so Interscope is going to look at the most profitable window of time to release the best material that Gaga and her collaborators give them. And judging by the least amount of competition being in the first half of the year, the V mag pic we saw recently, the time Gaga's spent working on the album, and the way that this year has been building momentum for Gaga to be successful at the first half of next year, a BTW-type schedule looks probable. ARTPOPdidntflop 3,987
close? What do you mean? They were very well produced albums and the only reason BTW didnt win was because of 21. They were very close in quality etc. It's why Gaga was so disappointed when she lost because she worked harder on that album than anything Gaga x Nicki x Azealia x Ariana x Kesha x Bey
ShockPop 7,747
Grammys are the icing on the cake. Sales are the sponge and buttercream. That's how the label sees it.Successful sales campaign = successful tour = kaching

ARTPOPdidntflop 3,987
but that doesn't mean it was close to winningIf you look who was in the category and what the grammy committee bases the grammy on, it's obvious those 2 were neck and neck. ARTPOPdidntflop 3,987
Have you seen the voting results or something? Adele was the It Girl of the night, I feel like she got it because of the other awards she won. BTW was an amazing album and it's sad that it didn't win at least 1 Grammy (Which it deserved to). It's obvious that Gaga could of easily snatched AOTY Gaga x Nicki x Azealia x Ariana x Kesha x Bey
