Americano 31,061
I'll start this off by saying I have the utmost respect for Ryan Murphy and his team. However, one thing I feel like during the episodes is that we aren't seeing enough of the right characters, and too much of the wrong ones. And I don't just mean Gaga not being shown much.In my opinion, the detective and children story falls flat and really has no hook, while other stories aren't given the same time and attention. For me, the plot honestly comes across as cheesy. (Especially the monologue yesterday about Holden! You forget it's a horror show!) It certainly hasn't given me the same excitement like finding the next Supreme, for example.I also totally get that Mr. March and Sally will likely be more developed later, but it's hard to even get through these episodes to make it to that..Thoughts? AlexanderLevi2 5,849
AGREED.The detective story is just boring. It goes nowhere. Currently listening to Joanne
Red 98,105
But it always has been like this, some episodes are more focused on some characters, others on other characters. You can see how the Countess appeared much less this episode for example, I remember last week's Gaga-only video was like, 20 minutes long and this one's is 6. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
PrinceGaga 7,585
The importance of finding the next surpreme in coven feels far more important than finding the serial killer in hotel. I agree! In terms of character attention, I think it's okay so far tbh. Maybe under done March, Sally and Liz Taylor a bit

I'll be fair and say focus changes often through the season, but to kick off the season with a really dry plot makes it hard to hang on for more episodes.I respect your view though and am not saying you're wrong at all
monketsharona 82,627
I think people should be patient and wait and see... They only aired 3 episodes, things will unfold all along the season like previous seasons...I know it's hard for those who haven't followed a season with only one episode by week, but it's always like this ;)
brownie 5
My main concern is that there's no real coherent story--it's just a jumbled mess of plotlines with new tangents being added every episode. Scenes may work by themselves, but each episode is just a collection of scenes...not a full story.

Open to people who agree and disagree! it's only three episodes in, the series always has a beginning, a middle and an end. You can't expect every episode to have some big climactic scene. There's a building of exposition, etc. The episodes really pick up half way through the season. The last 6 of the 13 episodes are where it's going to get really good. And the detective storyline and Alex and the children I feel with intertwine with the overall storyline and make more sense later on. Alien Tulip 12,428
I'm glad someone has the same opinion as me on the show. I'm still glad Gaga is doing this role as she's clearly happy acting even though she's clearly in her rookie stages. Some scenes just come across as corny like ramona during the 70s. I need to see more Sally and Mr. March because (in my opinion) they are the most interesting characters. I understand what you mean about forgetting the show is horror because it sort of feels more like a parody of the first two seasons at times but I'm still going to watch it and see where the story takes on. For now though Murder House and Asylum remain as my favorite seasons.

Also, Sally's plot isn't too developed yet cause Sarah is filming American Crime Story and she said that once she's finished, she will appear more. And then there is Liz Taylor who was hyped as **** and did nothing so far, there definitely will be an episode focused on her. Maybe they are building up his story a lot cause it is about to get good? idk. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. It may seem like we know The Countess but honestly we only know the year she was born, she loves blood and we mostly just see her being promiscuous towards men. Evan Peters 10,749
I completely agree with you! The Lowe's storyline is the only thing that I do not get this season. March, Sally, and Elizabeth are the stories people are most interested about and while we are getting Elizabeth every episode, March and Sally are shoved to the side to make room for 10 minutes scenes involving John having a mental breakdown and Alex doing the same. Ryan did say that March would be getting bigger as the season goes on but I don't really know about Sally. I do think his plot isn't that great but it is something that will change perhaps.
