giskardsb 12,565
Gaga was unbridled 24/7 for four years until it and the industry broke her down physically and mentally. She's an extreme creative, and living in that space permanently is not always a good place to be, Look at any of the extremely creative artists through history that society deemed "eccentric" or crazy and that flamed bright but then were dead young, often by their own hand, by d--gs, physical breakdown, or other causes. We often refer to these people as "mentally unbalanced" because they are. The fact that they literally live in a different headspace makes them create the things they do, but if they can't get out of it they will have a difficult time functioning in society as a whole. Since her breakdown Gaga has been searching for balance. While this may not please fans of the 24/7 CrazyGa show, it's necessary for her long term career and mental health. She couldn't keep that up and be healthy. Part of her studies with Marina were to quiet the crazy space in her head, and it's also part of her yoga training via meditation. She's realized that some semblance of family is an important balancing point for her so she wants love, like all of us. She wants a safe haven which isn't all about the work and people fighting over money. Jazz with Tony was an important stabilizing point as it was all about the music and her as a vocalist, not the performance artist. Acting is another way to change the pace. She needs to get to where she doesn't feel that the pop music environment is poisoned in order to produce an effective album.I want Gaga to have a long career. She was on a path towards complete mental breakdown and self destruction. Balance is the key that will allow us to enjoy Gaga's music and other work for a long time . djBuffoon 12,116
Well-said, and very true. She has been in "go" mode for a long time, and I'm glad that she seems to be pacing herself better.

Ronk 14,762
Well said. I find it interesting that she has always been a family oriented person with traditional family values, spends time with her parents, wants to have children, etc. Yet the professional side of her was so overwhelming that the family side of her wasn't enough to keep her balanced. I live outside the space time continuum.

Sakrai 4,759
True. In an industry so obsessed with profit and revenue, someone like Gaga is a blessing for the Companies. She's intensely creative, and won't ever stop creating. Therefore, in their minds, she's always ready to release new material, and sell, sell, sell. The problem is that this is not the reason why Gaga creates. She does it out of necessity. Otherwise her mind gets filled with so many ideas that she can't think clearly. It's EXTREMELY dangerous to put people like Gaga under the power of companies. They will burn her out. Suck everything out of her, trigger emotional instability to fuel their creativity. This all ends up in creative people desperately seeking solace in dangerous activities like d--gs, and eventually lose their way. It's a relief that Gaga has such a great support system in her family. This is the reason why she has been able to recover from the intense psychological pressure the industry puts on her. The bad news is that they will keep doing it for as long as they can. This danger will be present in Gaga's life forever. Oh, I'm just visiting-

Everyone has issues, everyone searches for balance, a balance between work and personal life, balancing time with family and self, making choices over work for family or choosing work or family, sacrificing time with family because of the need to work, everyone is doing balancing of some kind in their life, Gaga is no different than everyone else.
