Florence and The Machine were on Ellen today. In addition to an interview with Florence, the band performed 'What Kind of Man' and 'Ship to Wreck

Only they could perform in a giant kiddie pool on live TV :rip:

They're one of my favourite bands of all time honestly, HBHBHB is my personal album of the year

She couldnt make an album full with water songs so she performs in a pool. Cool for me tbh

She could literally just lay down in the pool and I'd still be slayed, tbh.

And, mine too. If there is one great thing my roommate from freshman year of college did for me, it was introduce me to the godliness that is Florence and The Machine.

I think Florence is definitely more suited for big crowds in concerts and being interactive with the audience that it becomes slightly awkward watching her perform on a televised show. She is so amazingly talented and cute nonetheless. Love how she was rambling on about her Ship to Wreck video and Ellen was like "When is she gonna stop?" Florence is a gem.

Queen of Peace: “Like a boat into oblivion”

Ship to Wreck: everything

Queen of Peace: “Like a boat into oblivion”

Various Storms and Saints: “The air was full of various storms…”

Delilah: “I’m wrung” (you wring things that are soaked with water)

Long and Lost: “I need the clouds to cover me”, “will you be there upon the shore?”

Caught: “Thrashing on the line”

Third Eye: “That original lifeline” (lifelines are thrown off boats to save people who are drowning)

St Jude: “Somehow through the storm I couldn’t get to you.”

Mother: “No use wishing on the water”

Make Up Your Mind: “If I can’t drink the water, what else can I do?”, “A sea that’s bluer than the tide.”

Conductor: “I tried to warm the ocean”

I like the song, but Various Storms & Saints is amazing. My fave on the album :flutter:

But still you stumble, feet give way
Outside the world seems a violent place
But you had to have him, and so you did
Some things you let go in order to live
