wahkeenasitka 1,995
“You have to knife-fight your way to your dream…” - Lady Gaga “I was very depressed when I was 19, because I decided to pursue music… I hit the ground running, did it on my own… and I would go back to my apartment every day, and I would just sit there… and it was quiet, and it was lonely. It was still. There was just my piano and myself… and especially during the period when I was doing c-----e. It was like the d--g was my friend. I never did it with other people. It’s such a terrible way to fill that void - because it just adds to the void, really. Because it’s not real. It’s endless and I just began to feel sick - it would make me feel so sick. I just remember one night, being in the shower with the cold water on, because I had just done so much, I didn’t even feel good - I just felt like crap. My point is this: I sort of ****ing woke up one day and was like - you’re an asshole. You’re not an artist, if you were a real ****ing artist, you would be focused on your music, you wouldn’t be spending your money on the white devil. There’s this perception & romanticism around d--gs… that it’s s-xy, or that it’s artistic.. or that you’re troubled & you’re going to make great music. When really you’re just a ****ing loser, wasting time. And then I just stopped and focused 150% of my energy on my happiness… on what do you want to do - what do you really want? There’s no way to convince people of your greatness… you have to know on the inside. Whatever it is you want to be, you have to know it inside - and you have to knife-fight your way to your dream.”
PrinceGaga 7,585
Yes! I love it. It seems like it's just two women sitting down and chatting, which is so much better than a regimented interview. Plus she looks amazing
AlexanderLevi2 5,849
Private in public the lost track/concept we never got to hear. anyway, she looks amazing and I love her insight on what she would tell her 14 year old self. No regrets! Currently listening to Joanne
