UmbriaWitch 325
Tbf, not every artiste has to stand for something or have a meaning. If she wants to be vapid, offering nothing besides colourful, kid friendly images and cute bops, good for her. The consequence of course is that no one ever respects her, and she's never taken seriously, which I guess she's fine with
Miaa 252
OMG NY Mag, tell us how you really feel! This is so unnecessary. "How can I protect something so perfect without evil?"
Korkira 119
So many truth spilled, it's so overwhelming.... I've always thought she doesn't have charisma...AT ALL. Nothing changed actually. PRISM is just a perfect example of how music is still on the same level as it was back in 2008. No shifting has been detected nor experienced...but I like her songs and I think she is very creative person! I just think her creativity has been directed in (a lil' bit) wrong direction... I guess...
Evan Peters 10,665
This thread is so messy ot: katy is pretty generic but that's what the people like. I dislike Katy as much as the next person but you can't deny that both her and her team know how to get #1's and sales. also, taylor is not innovating so i do not even know why they are trying to put taylor on a pedestal when she's basically on the same level of katy in terms of pushing boundaries. Bringing in a ton of sales isn't groundbreaking, that goes for both of them. emma roberts is an abuser

VenusBlackStar 1,301
Did anyone read the comments below the article?? I mean, I don't think it's as mean or childish or petty as some other people might think. It takes on an intellectual tone and is well-written 90% of the time. So cool! VenusBlackStar 1,301
Tbf, not every artiste has to stand for something or have a meaning. This kind of reminds me of the Victorian concept of Aestheticism (just a little). Oscar Wilde is bopping to Katy Perry jams in his grave.
