Kacey Elizabeth 900
She has great visuals, I'll give her that. But I still agree to those Brazilian articles that this tour was like a "dance party for infants" or something like that. Grow up, Katheryn.People like you are so ignorant of the fact that certain artists like Katy want to have fun with their music, and are always young by heart. No matter what people like you say, Katy will just do what she loves! :) Your Candy Perfume Girl
Bebe 17,094
THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING PERFIRMANCE AND THE SHOW OVERALL IS JUST INCREDIBLE! TAKE ME BACK! I wish I could experience this phenomenon tour once again! Her vocals & dancing aren't the best but her stage presence, star quality, charisma, creativity, energy, and interaction with the audience make up for it, and so do the visuals and the production. Let's define stage presence. Stage presence - being comfortable on stage and actually performing your talent to the audience; being excited to be on stage and people think they are part of your song and your story. I don't see how Katy is lacking stage presence here. " Stage presence - being comfortable on stage and actually performing your talent to the audience" And that's exactly where she falls down imo. She looks awkward and wooden.A better definition of stage presence is this: Stage presence refers to the certain charisma and charm that a theater actor or performer possesses that draws in an audience and commands their full attention. It's not Katy as a performer that is drawing me in or commanding my attention. If anything, it's the stage production behind her. The only thing that she did in that entire performance where she looked comfortable and looked in control and commanding was when she started jumping rope. Her vocals were weak, she struggled to look natural with even basic choreography. Her facial expressions and body language even seemed wooden and forced.
Bebe 17,094
Maybe it would be easier if I provided some examples of great/good performances.Great: Good: What these performances have in common is a either standout vocals, stand out choreography or a mixture of both with a level of confidence and ease. I've never seen Katy perform to the standard of any of these videos, her weakness is as a live performer.

Yes sure she looks like she is having fun but i see the performance and i cant concentrate on her. I get distracted a lot by the dancers and the backdrops. I feel like katy although she can perform, she doesnt cha--lize her Energy with the crowd. Its not like other artist were you are full in the moment and you just feel like going hand in hand. Their pressence stands put above everything. I watched the dvd and i found a lot of ideas were very so cool but most were production wise. Everything after "Kissed a Girl" falls appart fairly quick (except firework, birthday and unconditionally) BUT i bet its a fun tour to go live, i hope i win some last minute tickets to tommorrows show! Last one!

So let me get this straight - you are saying that you cannot concentrate on Katy's performance and instead get distracted by visuals. But lots of others who went to her tour concentrated and focused on Katy instead of the visuals (at least for the most part). I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm not getting distracted by the visuals... It's just the only thing about the performance that is good imo. You admit that her vocals and dancing are not good, she is weak as a live performer. I see crowds of people scream and cry at the sight of Kim Kardashian, it doesn't mean she is doing anything that incredible I mean, genuine question, what is it about this performance that you think is 'amazing' or 'incredible'?You admit that "Her vocals & dancing aren't the best" and then seem to justify that with a lot of vague comments about her "stage presence, star quality, charisma". It seems to me that you enjoy this performance because you like Katy. Not a terrible thing, but the way I'm interpreting that is that it's more about the celebrity and star power of Katy rather than her actual abilities as a performer. Katsuki Bakugo 9,788
This is kinda rude but...Compared to the dancers i am used to...Gaga, Madonna, Janet.... I HATE HER BACK UP DANCERS!They just fall soooo flat in comparison.I know i'm supposed to always pit these people against each other but...They are suuuuch simple and odd choreos...She is catering to an audience of soccer moms and 12 yr old teeny bopping girls... You can't expect super seductive slutty dance moves. If All You Ever Do Is Look Down On People, You Won't Be Able To Recognize Your Own Weaknesses.
