I'm going to do this with every episode, how I feel about Gaga's part, and then the episode in full.

First off, I can't get over how beautiful Gaga looked in the tub scene with Tristan when they're first talking. BEAUTIFUL. Although really, Tristan isn't even remotely attractive, MATT BOMER IS A GOD HELLO ELIZABETH. :flop:I think Gagz acting was weak in the first few scenes in this episode. She has little to no room to act, so what comes out, comes off as odd and contrived almost. BUT I think we saw her best acting so far in the scene where she's ending things with Donovan. I think Gaga portrays passion better than what they've been given Elizabeth, which is very serious and little to no emotion. Also, they need to tone down her s-x scenes, IMO. I'm sick of feeling like 75% of what we're seeing is just Gaga having s-x with people. I can't wait to see Elizabeth and her layers, and to get Gaga more stuff to work with. Right now her lines are rather bland, but we're seeing more passion and for that, I'm excited. AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER REVEAL AS EVAN PETERS WIFE. It's a bit obvious right now, which is a shame, because AHS used to have really good twists that always had you guessing til the reveal. Now, I feel like it's always a bit obvious.

As for the episode, it wasn't as bad as the first, although that isn't saying much. I think they need to stick to certain storylines, because there are SO MANY things being thrown at us right now it's overwhelming. I feel like I'm not even watching a show because there isn't a central plot. I KNOW there is, but it doesn't feel like it. I liked Evan Peter's reveal, even though I really like Evan as a good guy, he is such a good bad guy. I'm really excited to see the Holden storyline and how Gaga got the children.

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

I have to disagree. When she puts her hands on his face, after he declines the invitation to go hunting, you can see the exact moment where she realizes it's over. Then she retires to her dressing room, makes peace with it, and heads out. Completely silent, but brilliant acting.

No spoilers about where they may be filming please.  Some of us are trying to stay away from stuff like that and be surprised - and a title of the thread of an episode we've already seen shouldn't contain potential future spoilers.  :)

I enjoyed this episode far more than the first, and answers a lot of questions such as Donovan and Elizabeth's mortality/vampierism.

I think the detectives storyline is progressing, but slowly - perhaps a bit too slow. Seeing as he saw the picture of Holden (even though he was blurred), things will hopefully start happening from episode 3 onwards. His storyline reminds me a lot of Ben's in Murder House, his "insanity" was very much a slow progression throughout most of the season.

Once again, I am blown away by Sarah's acting, and I was also very pleased with the backstory of the hotel - I was a bit turned off my Evan's accent at first but he pulls it off quite well, I'm just so used to foetus Tate in Murder House haha. I love Miss Evers, I know we don't know too much about her, but her lines/personality makes me laugh

I'm not really feeling Finn's character yet (I can't remember his name), it seems Elizabeth will be training him like a puppy on how to be a good "vampire" - and I'm assuming he's gonna do something wrong at some point and there'll be a blowout there.

I also hope Elizabeth gets bored of Finn quickly, I ship her and Donovan so hard lmao

SpadesToStart

Did anyone pick up on Gaga's line about all of her friends from the late 70's being dead?  Then she listed guys' names and wondered what the world would be like if they had lived?  I think she might have been hinting at the AIDS epidemic, which obviously devastated the gay community a few years later.  If that's what the line was referencing, then that's really beautiful and poignant writing on Ryan Murphy's part.

I'm on the opposite of a lot of people, I thought the premiere episode was better than this one.. Mainly because this one felt like it kept dragging. The cop/detective story is just so.. Not interesting, for me, at least. I loved the movie The Zodiac, and his storyline is just too similar. And, I don't really find the connection of the kid being stolen by Gaga to be very exciting either. That's just my opinion, however. Because his plot took up so much of this episode, it was hard to stay engaged.

I LOVED Mr. March's introduction. The strongest of the season, and it saved the second half of the episode for me. Classic, amazing horror. Love the B&W too, the accent, and his whole look.

Gaga's character, so far, is hard to be connected with. Don't see much about her, other than all these men she's around. She's definitely a big presence in the show, and is connected to most of the stories (and had a lot of air time this episode), but they haven't dived much into who she is/why yet. They began to with the flashback, but I think this is just the start for her character.

That is sort of how I read it. Being that she's lived through the entire 1900s, she definitely lost many people.

And on an actor-y note, very clever of Gaga to say her friends' names (Keith, Andy, Robert) a little differently. A lesser actor would have said them all the same, or just rushed through the line altogether.

Andy, could refer to Andy Warhol? :wao:

I just watched this ep for the second time. It was  brilliant and very creepy/disturbing. I thought Gaga was really the standout along with Sarah Paulson. DAMN that musical score is creepy! I can't wait for the next ep and for Angela Bassett to show up. I'm so proud of Gaga!

What I found weird was that story was almost verbatim what Madonna spoke about and experienced in the 80's. She was friends with Andy, Keith, she lost a lot of friends to HIV. I just found it...weird.
