"Chutes and Ladders" episode discussion

Great episode again! It was a little slow to begin with but it really picked up by the end. Gaga has already improved massively since the first episode (even though she was pretty good to begin with) and I'm loving how it's all developing.

Sarah was particularly amazing this episode and Evan was brilliant! So happy to see him get a completely different role this season, the past couple of years he was given pretty useless characters but this definitely seems to be better. I love the voice he's using, it has a graininess to it, like old film.

I like that they answered where the creepy guy that jumped out of the bed in the first episode went when they showed the bodies that landed out of the chute. It was definitely a question I had and it was never explained in the first episode, so I'm glad we got a glimpse of that. I also like that Sally was shown stitching in Max Greenfield's character - maybe that's what she does with all her 'victims' and leaves them there to rot (assuming that she is also responsible for the same creepy guy in the bed in episode 1.)

Can't wait for next week, especially as the tone has well and truly been set for the season now and we've also been given some background info, things can really start to develop from here.

So is it safe to assume that Mr. March (Evan Peters) had the virus and gave it to Elizabeth (Lady Gaga) before taking her as his wife? That would explain his "hunger" to kill and the mysterious blonde cheering on the torture.

this is what i thought!

But isn't he dead? Because he killed himself with the maid. SO confused man.

Gaga was more than amazing in this one!

The thing I don't like is the blonde kids crap, glass coffins are so funny and unnecessary, their playroom as well... Also the neon lights on cages where the girls were trapped, why would anyone put those on a cage?

The Countess has a thing for neon - it's in her penthouse too.

Can anyone upload only Gaga's scenes edited together, please? I want to re-watch her scenes only and not the whole thing again tbh.

That scene where Sally does that trick with her teeth is honestly already one of my favorite ones so far in the whole five seasons of the show

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Well damn, this episode was good! I enjoyed the premiere, but this one was even better, better production and flow and so on.

Also, Gaga's acting already improved if you compare both episodes.

:legend: stanning for this season

(hehe @ IWYL being used) ^^

Is Donovan not coming back? He is, no?   I need more Matt Bomer :pray:

Also, the scene when Gaga goes to the art exposition (?) was rather short and felt like it was going to be continued later on in the episode, but it didn't happen.

Do you guys think that was it or that we'll see another part in a flashback?

I don't think it was meant to be important, just a variation on how her and Donovan nabbed the couple in the first episode: get dressed up, go to a public event, flirt, and slash 'em.

I think it showed that she is the alpha in this pack. She can hunt alone if she needs to.
