Stephen 30,364 Posted March 14, 2012 Share Posted March 14, 2012 All the links i found while searching are down :cry: Can someone who has on their hard drive, please upload it somewhere? :) ------------ Original OP (Resolved) Okay so I know an HD version hasn't been released officially, but there are some pretty good upscales out there ;) I just need it to be: Best Quality Possible Widescreen (16:9) Everywhere I go to download this video, it's always in 4:3. Not true at all... first of all 1080i and in most situations, 480p, are widescreen formats. The video was filmed in 4:3. Second, no professional recording team would ever record with 1080i. 1080p maybe, but usually always 2k or 4k film. To answer the main post, the video was only distributed in standard definition because of its 4:3 resolution. There IS a higher quality version of it--the original film--but HD and 4:3 don't really combine so they never bothered sending an HD version to TV. The versions on TV that are widescreen are all upscaled, and the video is either stretched to fill the screen, or the bottoms were cut off. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
