I couldn't resist :fan:

But seriously, I would say in terms of the Pop sphere, yes, Gaga sets the bar and has been since her debut in 2008, nobody was really like her and it's continued into each subsequent era, I'm only curious as to how many of the Pop girls can actually sing jazz and other genres without the use of voice modifications.

I certainly think it's possible, though I don't know by how much. Regardless, art is so broad and wonderful that anyone can take something from it, even "non-creative" types. It's subjective, beautiful, ugly, cheap, exquisite, bold, or broad. People often have trouble defining or debate what it is that makes something a piece of art, but I like to think if it motivates, moves, or impacts someone outside the realm of the physical than it's "art", even if they are repulsed by it. If other singers/musicians suddenly want to look at pieces of art (whether modern or classic) and take some inspiration from it, I think that's a very good thing. Kanye's been doing that for a while, Miley seems to have some appreciation for modern abstract art. I don't really care where it comes from, but embracing the arts and expanding your mind is something I'm always for, and if Gaga helped in anyway to influence that (which seems to be an aspiration of hers since the early days of her career) then all the better.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

pure delusion.

Rih's album cover was more J.Cole/ Kanye even Jay Z influenced than Gaga. and the unveiling of it was very Kanye aswell.

So sick of people saying "ooh that's GAGA's impact!" the second an artist does something mildly artistic. This is one of a plethora of reasons why no one likes little monsters!!!

I'm really not delusional. Yes, I thought Rihanna's album was very Kanye, as was the pretentiousness surrounding the project, but you have to remember that Kanye himself was clearly very inspired by Gaga (Fame Kills Tour, anyone?) and he likely admires her greatly for her boundary pushing and love of art. Gaga is highly influential in the industry, anyone with a brain can see that. Why do you want to deny clear impact that your favourite artist has had? Gaga influenced popstars to start dressing weird and making worthwhile music videos again, among other things. She is one of the biggest boundary pushing popstars in years, so naturally, other popstars will look to her for guidance on how to do it too. 11 people liked my post - I don't think that shows delusion when that many people support you.

Now THAT is delusional. Of all the people Kanye has worked with, I doubt he's taking inspiration from a popgirl.

This video was released in 2004, almost half a decade before anyone even knew Gaga and it's STILL artistic and meaningful:

The face that you think everyone is inspired by Gaga is delusional. I honestly can't belive that on October 10th, 2015 someone said that Gaga inspired Kanye. Yiiikes.

But, keep counting those likes boo!
