Well u cant blame a Nation for protecting its own interests...

why join EU if they are already doing well by themselves?

Why entering EU is not in interestest of a Nation. I find it extremly positive. Switzerland knows that they whole economy is based on banking system and bank secrecy. To enter EU they should get rid of that practice and that is why they did not enter. They help criminals and other companies to hide money and while doing that they harm other economies.

Good for them :rip: Switzerland should act in its citizens' best interests, not in the EU's best interests. It's not an EU member.

Well theres downsides. You loose control over monetary policy and you cant make many of your own rules

And they are also extremely innovative their economy isnt just Corporate

i dont know in ur Country but here in Canada thats nothing sold from anywhere that instantly spells quality as much as anything thats Swiss

Swiss Cheese, Swiss chocolat, Swiss whatches...

Swiss anything is super bloody expensive but they manage to sell it.

Switzerland is the most innovative country in the world and a true direct democracy unlike the EU where citizens are NOT asked about decisions, they just have to accept it

Switzerland is the best proof how scheißy the EU is and that you don't need to be in the EU to be extremely succesful - in fact, being in the EU is hurting the countries who are in the EU, they are to be blamed.

Switzerland is a very productive country and is scientifically leading in the world (CERN, ETH Zürich)

Switzerland is the b---hiest country in Europe. It takes all thee money with their privacy and secrecy policy when acctualy they are sometnig very similar to tax heaven. They did not enter EU just because they should make how they do bussiness transperent before entering.

Both true.

I still don't know what to think of Switzerland. I would love to work there later but they pretty much hate Germans working in their country so maybe not. And it's way too expensive for living.

Actually the Swiss people profit a lot from the open EU borders - thousands of them flood both Germany and France each weekend to go grocery shopping because it's like -40% the Swiss price in Euros.

I also prefer shopping in Austria and Germany over Switzerland, I always have to plan in advance what I intend on buying and compare prices, generally it's more lucrative there. Yeah, Swiss are overbearing towards the rest of the world, especially Germans, they don't want their country to be flooded and feel overpopulated like if they were Bangladesh, their biggest fear: 10 million inhabitants :wtf: they don't like urban sprawl, they love untouched landscapes. You could live in Germany at the border and work in Switzerland (Basel/Lörrach, etc.), that would be the best option
