There is absolutely nothing wrong with responsible gun ownership. The second amendment isn't going anywhere any time soon, so we ought to be implementing responsible gun ownership classes and background checks to make sure events like this don't keep happening. That's all I have to say.

Responsible Gun ownership requires a licence and background checks. I agree with you.

The only way, I think, real gun control will be implemented here is to eradicate the weird American mindset that guns are "cool". They're a tool, not a toy, and should be treated as such.

Why does it surprise Europeans that you can buy guns in a store? Guns don't grow out of the earth. Do Europeans think we're supposed to make a deal with some shady characters in an abandoned lot? No, you buy guns in stores. Walmart is the everything store. They sell camping gear and freaking kayaks. Why wouldn't they sell guns?

I live in Canada and this flyer just came in the mail. It's normal.

I think people that can't keep there guns secure should be charged. It is the responsibility of the owner to make sure the firearm is not a threat. I feel sorry for the young girl and her family.

Well it's not that obvious. Cannabis is legal in some states and you can't get it at Walmart, you can't find s-x toys or **** either. Buying a gun is definitely not the same as buying a camping gear or kayaks.

In a lot of places a gun IS camping gear.
