StrawberryBlond 14,891
That man who played the homeless guy is brilliant! His tone and comedic timing are spot on! That bit about the American flags was really clever too, probably why you didn't hear a lot of people laughing at that point. I think it was hard to top that Beygency trailer, though. The store clerk's moment alone declares it the best. As someone who is highly critical of both these women, it brings me relief to see that other people notice the sheer overratedness of both of them and how they have this cult of untouchability around them. I notice how you don't get skits like these for any other popstar. Because Taylor and Beyonce are some of the few artists for whom "perfection" is the most major part of their celebrity. And when someone is that perfect, we just want to dig to see what the true person is like underneath, with all of those pesky human flaws. Which leaves the door wide open for skits like these and the jokes write themselves. That girl squad will break up soon and Taylor's downfall will begin from there when one of those girls comes out and tells the truth about their artificial, forced, and fake 'friendship' with Taylor. Exactly, which is why someone should have told her this idea was dangerous right from the start. Or maybe they did but she didn't listen. Or maybe the idea started off small, just the girls from the Bad Blood video being her squad, but then she realised how many headlines she grabbed when she took them onstage so the idea snowballed and couldn't stop. There's too many people in this "squad" now for them all to be adoring forevermore. One day, one of the more outspoken ones will let rip in an interview or something. Does she even think about how this is going to look when she packs up this squad for the next album (even I doubt this is going to be a constant fixture in future) and then we never see them again? It'll prove that it was nothing but fakeness for publicity. if no substance equals numerous best of lists, AOTY Grammies, and constant critical praise than I'm glad she's got no substance :gayb2: Those accolades don't equal quality and never will. Sure, you can get that rare artist who's a combination of both but Taylor ain't one of them.
