I guess this only matters to people who buy the physical album, but do you want LG5 to be packaged in a traditional jewel case?

I honestly think it looks so dated and ugly. I bought Unbreakable yesterday and was so happy to see that it was packaged as a digipack. Teenage Dream (without any wording on the front cover) was released like this, channel Orangle, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Because the Internet, Ultraviolence, and the C2C Starbucks edition were all packaged this way. It looks so much better! It looks like a mini vinyl. The jewel case makes it look cheap and it takes up so much space (when you have a collection).

So CD case- yay or nae?

I didn't know this digisleeve thing existed till now :rip:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I need both tbh I'm still annoyed that ARTPOP and BTW didn't have digipaks even though I own none :toofunny:

Digipak is awesome and you can do cool stuff with it design wise. I'd love one for a Gaga album. I agree about the datedness of the jewelcase. It only works if you use the datedness to your advantage and make it look really old and vintage.

That could work for LG5 too. So either amazing digipak or intentionally basic and badass jewelcase that looks like it's illegally sold in some early 90's basement

Don't you dare to touch my cd's case.....It took like 10 mins to found how to take out the iTunes DVD in ARTPOP's deluxe edition but I enjoyed it and love CD's if I want a vinyl I buy one :hunty:

I have my CDs standing up on a shelf, so I want jewel case. The others can't stand up, unless it's that kind of pack that the Rebel Heart super deluxe edition has.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

I prefer jewel cases, digipacks feel really feeble and cheap

As a music collector, I'd LOVE for it to be released in many physical forms

Promo cd, special numbered edition, jewel case, super jewel case, digipak, etc

I would the western CD industry to take notes from the K-Pop industry. The packaging is always spectacular with digipacks, 50-page photobooks and photocards for the price of like 12$. It makes buying physical CDs so much more worthwhile. :flutter:

EDIT: I mean just look at this beauty :omg:

I LOATHE digipaks. When I collected CD's, I purposely bought the standard edition of things if it meant they didn't come in a digipak :emma:

I've moved onto collecting vinyl now though, so as long as we get a vinyl... I don't mind

Totally here for it! The only problem is, majority of the population (in the US- and most Western influenced countries) couldn't care less about how CDs packages

I had to buy my Applause single from Japan
