Born To Slay

it's rather a concept. representing those ideals in the form of a movement is another thing. you can choose not to be associated with that; however, that doesn't make feminism wrong.

publicly saying that she is against feminism implies that she doesn't even know what feminism is.

When people say they're against feminism, they usually mean they're against the current movement. She's against the man hating bs that a lot of these pull.

Unfortunately a lot of mainstream feminists act like man haters (crying in male tears? And they wonder why people don't like them?) and that makes people uneasy about identifying as feminists. If they acted with more class and didn't often deny s-xism against men exists and acted like they were true equality, they'd be more respected. At least I'd respect them more. That's probably what Demi meant when she tweeted that and that'd what most people mean, they're not protesting women's rights, they're protesting these sociopathic ****s that hate men and say s-xist degrading things about them and make women sound like total puppets.

This is gonna sound cheesy but if for her doing this photoshopt is a step forward in her confidence level, then what's wrong with it? Who cares if all pop stars do it? Would YOU be able to do this? Not everyone feels CONFIDENT enough to do so. Leave her alone.

i see your point. my mantra is: don't be insecure if your heart is pure. don't let those pseudo-feminists reflect badly on you, fight for your beliefs. i have no problem calling myself a feminist. fortunately, there is a professor at my uni whom i admire and she proudly calls herself a feminist.

it's almost like being a gagz fan. if you're telling others that you stan for her, they tend to look at you as a weirdo, so you have to fight to dispel the misconceptions surrounding her. just like in the case of feminism, i have no problem calling myself a gagz fan.

preconceived ideas regarding both feminism & gagz need to disappear for good.

I definitely see ur point and will think about this. The stereotype needs to be stopped however I think at the same time, the feminist movement has to ditch the misandry. So I think people protesting against the misandry of many mainstream feminists is okay as long as long as their still for equal rights.

Why is everyone up in arms about these? She's nude, it's tasteful, doesn't come off as ****ographic. Not sure what the problem is, or why it's reading as "try-hard" to some.

Kacey Elizabeth

This would've been more powerful and suited her purpose if she had done it when she was bigger/didn't have a body type that young girls typically aspire to. She's just posing like a conventionally s-xy person whilst telling people to embrace themselves in their own skin regardless of their flaws or whatever, but she only decided to do this once she lost weight and her body fit a certain standard portrayed in the media.

She really is doing the most this era, and the execution of all of it is so poor.

Celebrate ur confidence guys!

Wow, these are very nice! Is she not wearing makeup? It really suits her. I hope she does more shoots like these in the future.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Lol, I always hear about these man-hating feminists but don't know a single one. Quite the contrary, I hear more than enough mysogynists talk crap about how feminists "ruin everything" and that a woman isn't a feminist if she doesn't "hate" men. It's such a myth. The vast majority of feminists aren't like that at all. Quite a few men I know call themselves feminists too. It's like saying every Vegan or Atheist is a militant asshole who likes to impose their views on everyone. It's simply not true, most are more than content to be left alone. But it's always their detractors that are quick to run around conducting a smear campaign.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
