Poor Lana fans, they were so delusional they truthfully thought she could sell 250k with her lead single and even dragged the good sis Applause. Now Honeymoon beats BTW and ARTPOP's second week drops

but they don't care about sales:proud:

also beats both of their metacritic scores :proud:

Just speaking personally, I thought High by the Beach was great and made me very excited for the record because it brought back the elements I loved about Born to Die while still sounding distinct from that album.

The reason I didn't enjoy Honeymoon very much was because none of the other songs really kept that feeling, High by the Beach feels very out of place on the record to me. It's almost like Lana recorded that song and released it as the lead single to appease all the people who wanted a sound more like Born to Die and then just made the rest of the record like Ultraviolence.

So it's not really all that surprising to me that Honeymoon's commercial success if mimicking that of Ultraviolence, only it's doing worse because it's not riding the wave of success of Born to Die/Paradise.

Luckily for her, the critics seem to love the Ultraviolence/Honeymoon sound, so maybe that's what she's really after.

Please guys stop fighting...

I do have to say that you Whispering seem to always be attacking ppl, maybe you should count to ten before posting?

I don't understand how its wrong to mention Gaga's sales as a context? Madonna is on The damn OP but thats okey with you right? Thats a huge double standard. Ofcourse you can compare Lana's sales drop to others, including Gaga. It perfectly on topic.

I didn't even think of that :lmao:

But it's ok, I said I'd stop replying to him & that's what I'm gonna do 'cause you know, you can only repeat your point so many times and it just is not coming across in any shape or form.

Why are stans so bitter about everything? :toofunny: Lana doesn't care. It would be embarrassing if she promoted this album, but she hasn't even been on television since 2012 and she doesn't have radio singles. Unlike our common fave, she actually is interested in "music not the bling".

Also the fact that her first weeks still outsell many popular artists that promote & have hit singles is a testament to her fanbase.

She has the acclaim tho. A really good album and I love her vocals on this one.

Thank you for showing how it is possible to express a non-positive opinion without coming across like a jerk

Snow, stop with the off topic discussion and the personal discussion. If you have something to say to me, send it in a PM.

What's off topic about discussing the value of Lana's album dropping 86%?

Please, answer me. What you're doing is off-topic, right now.

Stop it the off the topic and stop bringing Gaga

Gaga lives for the applause and Lana lives for her bad baby's dark blue shades of cool

what does that even mean :air:
