I thought ARTPOP broke that record.

Edit: Nope, that was -82%. Close enough to quit making ****ty comments about an artist who literally couldn't care less about commercial success and who doesn't need it to be praised in every relevant music magazine.

Morphine Prince

Wow, that's a lot!

Does it really matter though? Most people who want an album will buy it the first week anyway.

For someone like Taylor an 80% drop wouldn't even matter if she sold 1M the first week :rip:

It's because she slayed everyone on the first week and their funerals prevented them from buying the album :legend:

Furious? :air: I thought it was rather reserved.

I just see it a lot - people using commercial success to put Lana down when that's just an idiotic thing to do for many obvious reasons. And especially in this case, when Gaga had her own commercial "disaster" (or that's the way it was styled anyway) not even that long ago and her sales drop isn't that far removed from Lana's.

Whispering

Not a good sign, especially when the starting week was much lower than her release just a year ago. (and that album didn't have lasting power)

Some albums without pop radio airplay do continue to sell consistently. It doesn't look good right now for this one.
