freebit 6,240
It works better on her uptempo dance music than it does on her ballads IMO.
Dangerous Man 9,245
Yes. But there are times that I dislike it. Maybe depends on my mood. Lol. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
Sister 9,907
Yes. I love it and I love the way that Gaga plays up her tone on different songs. It adds a new personality to the songs that she has used it on. They are the funkier songs, it reminds me of the nineties gay club singles that are more like unknown artists lending throwbacks to the disco era. It makes me think up those old songs that I heard at clubs then and would never remember the artists who had done the song, just the beat and the vocals. It's all about vibe and beat. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

XoXoJoanneGaga 629
She's been doing that at least since Bad Romance, it's a signature vocal element for her. She has been playing it up more this year but I think she exaggerates it to lend more of a distinct personality to covers/songs she didn't write. Tokyo Rose 1,475
I like it because I watched it evolve to this point over the years from her cutesy 2008 voice
Quasi 10,935
I like the accent. The way I see it, it also adds international appeal. She doesn't limit herself to her New York accent because her music isn't just catered to the American people. People everywhere around the world listen to her so using different accents add a more "global" aspect to her songs, which can speak to more people than in North America alone. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.
Hexxx 2,244
Only in dance songs i love it. I kinda hate how she does it in ballads. Like when she's sings in TIHTY, "You won't Knooow...." It's not pleasant to the ears. I miss her Speechless vocals in ballads so much Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
Whispering 18,865
Gaga has many vocal techniques and vocal colors she uses in her songs, and she has used these techniques since the first part of her career. I love that she uses different vocal colors in songs, as it keeps it more interesting! Those albums from other artists that sound the same on every song are often times quite boring to listen to from start to finish.I prefer when artists are talented and smart enough to vary their vocals to create interesting songs and albums! Glamourpuss 29,062
I know what you mean. It really does work with Bad Romance. It goes with that attitude that she has. I love the way that she says "I want your love. Love, love love..." in that accent. There's a running joke with me and a friend with how Gaga pronounced the Y in GUY. "Under you like a G U Woy". I don't know how to describe it. But you all know what I mean. Sometimes her accent reminds me of the singer from Blink 182. With some words she sings like the word "why" as mentioned above, she sings in a similar accent to him.

PrinceGaga 7,585
I barely notice it. I think if I was American I would notice it more but I barely hear any difference so she slays and you can deal thanks
crisTEAne 21,059
YES, i love it. i have a seminar (the discourse of pop songs) and i mentioned that the contrast between venus and dope, for instance, is intriguing. especially because they are off the same album. during the next class the teacher played both songs (YAS, that was my moment ) and everyone was amazed by the differences in terms of vocal style, tempo, lyrics, and structure. inside, i was like: STAN FOR HA, BAM! if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back
