Bradley 59,150
At the end of the day, the GP pays the bills. Just because I don't think Gaga will sell millions or whatever doesn't mean I won't support it. I thought the same of ARTPOP and it doesn't mean I didn't support it.I just think you all are focusing way too much on how albums do commercially. Yes, it matters but I just don't really care. Of course I'll be happy if she does sell millions but it's not about that. How a well an album does/a single does determines how the album is going to be treated in the future, so there are many reasons to focus on commercial success, including more tour dates which'd allow more people to see her live. Agree with you now.
Bradley 59,150
Hell, you have a point with the tour dates, forgot about it. Agree with you now.I know nothing can be changed but I believe that if Applause was a Grammy material and was nominated, she would've been given the chance to promote G.U.Y. at the Grammys and subsequently at other shows, and perhaps a fourth single could be produced as well. Head Empty 25,187
Why make it a competition again though? Both will most likely be successful, so just enjoy the music. Happiness will never last, darkness comes to kick your ass... ᵃˢˢ 🕺
Mister Gaga 22,923
I don't think that Adele could win AOTY again. But i see her winning Best Pop Vocal Album / Best Pop Vocal Performance and even Song of the Year. And Gaga would be blocked again...
StrawberryBlond 14,872
Adele will sell more albums, no doubt. But singles...if she really is dropping the album first and then maybe releasing singles afterwards, no way will she succeed with them. With the follow up to a success like 21, the public will buy the album all but straight away but give the singles a wide berth. It's always the case. if she starts making singles post-album release, she stands no chance of having another monster hit like Roling In The Deep or Someone Like You again. Gaga will do better in singles, not as well in albums. But she'll also have the more successful tour and she'll get a lot more promo slots. By the sounds of things, Adele might not even tour with this album. Basically, expectations are too high for Adele. If this album isn't as good as, or better than, 21 (which it won't be), she'll pretty much be on a downward spiral after this. Harsh but true. Klou 2,414
Let's remember that Adele sold 24 million albums with 21 and Gaga sold 2 million with ARTPOP.NO, she won't. Silly question.
Arizona Sky 10,913
Gaga's singles will be more successful but Adele's album will sell more & have more acclaim...
Arizona Sky 10,913
I think 25 will be a one week thing/fad. Everyone will talk about and buy it it's first week , it will be an album seller, but her singles will be no where to be found (maybe top 30/40). It will be more of an event and the album will be used in the future. LG5 will be the more successful era all around. It will have singles played on the radio and will sell decently. It will be more known to the GP.

Gianni Versace 2,987
Based on publicity, Gaga will definitely win the media war.But remember Adele's whole schtick is being the Anti-Gaga.She has a much wider audience because she isn't polarizing or controversial. She's going to sell more albums, guaranteed.she can't really be anti Gaga anymore after the CTC era! ha eat that adele! TheKillerQueen 1,983
Adele has been away from music for so long, that most people have forgotten about her. She will more than likely flop very hard. Lace up my boots, throw on some leather and cruise.
