I love how if I said 'MJ is no longer king of pop' I would get skinned alive, but for some reason Madonna is always getting replaced by someone

Nnnn the people saying no she isn't because it will always be Madonna :saladga: Madonna was a huge pop queen, but the title is meant to be passed. People fade down, she did. She'll always be remembered, but I'm pretty sure the Queen of the Universe is Gaga :hunty:

True, but now the title will be for Gaga only even after her death. No other person Ever will be able to  replace Queen Gaga.

And Literally no1 cares about Madonna anyways. She's already forgotten.

Deriving from the fact that the term is originally used for Madonna, Queen of Pop needs to have long-lasting legit cultural impact, creativity in her performances, and commercial success. But among these reference points, commercial success is the least important; let's not forget that cyndi lauper's debut album was more successful than Madonna's debut album...

I think Gaga is one of the most talented musician, artist of her generation for sure. (Even tho being a very talented musician is not the most important qualification to become Queen of Pop, since the Pop music cares more about catchiness than artistic integrity.) But I don't think she is the Queen of Pop now...But Gaga is the closest person to become Queen of Pop... I only consider Madonna as Queen of Pop...

LORD GAGA

she also outgrossed all of our favs with those tours

and yet plummeted with the actual music supporting them... which as a musician is not a good thing.

To answer the question, yes she is.... because as of yet there has been nobody that has even come close in terms of impact within the music industry for our generation.
