A non-Gaga fan would not watch her appearance on the Tonight Show and be motivated to take interest in whatever project she is trying to sell. She came across as disconnected, pretentious, and awkward.She needs to go to the Amy Sedaris' School For Amusing Anecdotes.I think what you're picking up on is her passion. She genuinely is passionate about her life right now, and wants to discuss the deep parts of what she's doing (ie. The themes of hotel, why she is acting, her obsessions, etc.). Most people come on these shows as entertainers and comedians, making light fluffy jokes and saying what everyone wants them to say. And I think Gaga just doesn't give a **** anymore. She was just explaining the deeper meanings of the show and her character. The only part that was alittle awkward was when she was trying to connect with Jimmy (when she said, "your famous, you know how hard it is to have real conversations with people" It seemed like he hadn't experienced that) and he seemed disconnected to her. You know what is interesting about this is that people like Johnny Carson, David Letterman and Howard Stern have all said this exact thing....that they got along with people in interviews and came off as someone who would have a lot of friends, but in real life they had very few people they would call friends. I think Jimmy is different, due to him being on SNL for a while. The cast there is a team of like-minded entertainers and are like a big family, so he does have the experiences that many people who are thrust into the limelight don't have.
