What's the biggest impact Gaga has made on your musical taste?

Honestly, before 2008-2009 when I started listening to Gaga I wasn't so into Pop music. ALL I listened to was Rock, Alternative, Hip Hop, Rap.

Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Panic! At The Disco, Green Day, Lil' Wayne, T-Pain, Akon, etc. and SOME Pop.

Then Gaga made me want to start listening to most Pop and she's my comparison to other Pop. I've also gotten to know quite a few artists through Gaga. I got into Bruce Springsteen because of Gaga.

My musical taste has always been all over the place.  I can go from listening to bubble gum pop to heavy metal so I haven't really noticed a change in my taste in music.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I never thought in a million years that I would be interested in Jazz. Cheek to Cheek definitely changed this and now I absolutely love the genre:yes:

She came onto the scene when I was 11, almost 12 - basically the age where you're really creating your "identity" through likes/dislikes etc, so I probably couldn't actually say whether or not becoming a fan of her pushed me towards pop music. In saying that, I'm not a strictly pop fan - i love all genres and have such an open mind when someone suggests new artists etc.

Perhaps the music her fans listen to (e.g. Lana) give some artists more exposure than others which may lead to me being more inclined to listen to someone but yeah...can't really say.

Before knowing Gaga's music, I really don't know there is a pop genre:fail:. I can remember listening to Aerosmith or Bon Jovi, I don't know but I think their genre is slow rock. It was just random, I listen to no specific genre.

Until the music of Lady Gaga is making rounds on radios and television. There she introduces me to pop genre. Poker Face is the first song I heard on her. The internet connection is also booming and I can remember that Lady Gaga is the first searches I ever made. :stalkga:

honestly, she got me interested in the music industry as a whole. Before her, i just liked the songs my ears liked on the radio and didn't pay much attention to anything else, i barely even knew who sang the songs. I remember buying Hung Up in 8th grade when it was on the radio and not really even knowing who Madonna was, i just liked the song.

(prior to that i did like an artist at a time, but i JUST liked them, and then songs that were on my NOW That's What I Call Music CD's lol)

I was always into jazz, blues, classical, folk, and rock.  Because of Gaga, I listen to some pop now, mainly just her pop.  Of course, I love her jazz.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Gaga reintroduced me to pop music. At the time, I was listening to a lot of alternative music, and I had an anti-pop bias. Then, Gaga let the light in. I fell in love with her music. After that, I rediscovered pop musicians I loved in the past, and I familiarized myself with Gaga's contemporaries. If it wasn't for her, I may have not reembraced pop as soon as I did.

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
