We basically knew that Mars had water, but we believed it was frozen underground. For the first time, there is running water on the surface. It's like a small river. It's actually not that hard. However, the main problem would be that Mars doesn't have magnetic poles like we do, so it gets hit by solar radiation pretty hard.Yeah thats what I mean. There is tons of other reasons that colonization such as scientific research to know if life existed before, if yes what kind of form of life, the minerals etc that can be found on Mars, past and future etc... possibility of life growing by itself in the future WITHOUT us...
