If you're too lazy: it's ignoring a person's complaints by projecting your own view of the situation onto him. "You have no right to complain, because..." (+ biased point of view). I made the connection because it might expose some patterns that some people don't think of.

Indian food is delicious though, even spicy curry to me. I've been trained in the spice ways thanks to red and green chili, jalapeños, habanero peppers (on the rare occasion) from Southwest US, and even Sichuan peppercorn with Chinese food, so spicy food appeals to me. 

But the note was dumb... Like what does race have to do with spice?

I never said he had no right to complain.

I just find it funny and silly that he actually thinks "white ppl" is a slur and that he got so offended by it.

I don't think you said that It was a reply to someone else

It's not a slur, I mean, it's basically an objective term but of course used as a derogatory term. I think he mostly got offended because it was in a restaurant and you just don't expect something to happen, it's super unprofessional.

If it was really in a spiteful spirit, the restaurant reacted well by covering it up (because it's pretty much professional suicide to admit you use "white people" as a code for people who ask for a mild curry) but you can be sure the person putting that on the receipt is either fired or reprimanded severely. It's just not done in any way and since you have actual proof on a receipt, I understand why you might go back.

Well I don't think 'white ppl' is a slur but writing that was definitely rude and unnecessary. It's not offensive as those slurs we are used too but it was still offensive.

There shouldn't be an outrage because of this but let's not pretend it wasn't offensive just to avoid the double standards conversation.

It's how some people are so passionate about this (non-natives), yet if the media (specifically televised) picks up on this story more, they will absolutely ridicule this guy for taking offence to it... and they will be mostly white.

It's hypocritical to complain about stereotypes and then make fun of white people. Whether or not this is a big deal is open for debate (I think most of us would agree that it's not). But it is stereotyping, so all of you who complain about stereotyping daily should not laugh at this.

Also,  Indian spices are not all hot. A mild curry shouldn't be bland, unless you are bad at flavoring and rely purely on heat to cover that up. Just saying.

It seems to me this was not meant for the customer to see. In the back of the house the communication was between the cooks and whatever lingo they have among themselves. It is what it is. If the food server had been aware then this note should never have reached the table.

Managers and owners have to do whatever they need to in order to smooth over situations like this.
