That's because you live in Balkan, spicy food in normal there. But Western Europeans in general mainly use salt and pepper in their national foods, it's pretty bland. If you ever get invited to home of Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Indian people and eat what they eat everyday, you'll see what they mean by "whites cannot handle hot food"; it's hot af, you need 10l of water after that.

But I don't even believe they make it as hot in their restaurants in West, as they originally do in their homes.

The feeling is mutual, I can't take your pseudo-philosphical ramblings that you get caught up in every now and then seriously as well because the only valid opinion and experience you see is yours which leads to you coming up with responses like the one you just wrote.

It's not even an opinion, it's me debunking something you said, successfully (no one's crying out racism and oppression here) and pointing to the fact that a lot of these "is it racist or not" polemics could be solved by referring to universal experience to promote tolerance and standing up when you're being treated like a joke.

I've read an nice essay about why western food is so "bland" compared to cuisine in the east and according to that it was due to snobism in the late middle ages when spices became cheaper and publically available for the lower classes. The ruling aristocrats threw a hissyfit about how the dirty poor people now had access to all the nice spices they previously cooked with, which lead to a counter movement originating in France that reduced food to its purest basics and to combine similar things instead of layering multiple flavours.

Just a reminder that this is the U.K. and generally, there's very little bad blood between  this minority and white, English people.

Sorry but me saying that people get way too caught up in stereotypes that cause virtually no harm and weigh them in as equally as damaging as the actual really hurtful ones should not ruffle that many feathers. The idea of even looking for something in my posts when I literally have repeated that I think all generalizations are stupid and should never be defended in the form of humor when it's in a humor-less context or intent, that's biased or insulting is just mindbending.

We're only divided in the sense that you think only a portion of stereotypes should be combatted because they are "truly harmful" (I think that's too subjective, which is quite ironic since you accuse me of my opinions being altered by subjective biases) and I think they're all dumb and, if they're used, they should never be defended when it offended somebody, no matter how much other people suffer. Denying someone the right to be offended can lapse into denying people of color the right to stand up for their actually directly harmful oppression in a hot second.

I'm a man of principles. Saying this man shouldn't be offended because it didn't really harm him is like saying slaves should be happy they're at least being fed. It's ignoring what a person is feeling. Do I think that's a good reason for denying people the right to laugh and make jokes with generalizations? No, but when someone's offended you can point out that you didn't mean any harm without talking down to someone.

Prejudice against racial groups? It doesn't have to be harmful to be theoretical racism you know. And like I said: it's not a big deal, it's only harmful to the person who's involved and I'm just saying that should count for something.

Actually I pointed out that it would be better to not call it racism but just ignore the racial aspect and come together in the general annoyance of someone projecting an unfounded generalization on you, which I think is a better way of tackling these issues, big or small..

If I would've gotten this receipt I would've laughed, but I would be looking for signs that it was humor and that they themselves saw it as humor. Just sayin' before people think I identify this happening as the prime evil.
