It may not be the most credible album but it wasn't pretending to be. 1989 is just so dull, which is a big crime for pop music to be and Taylor still hasn't evolved her style from her younger years. The worst thing is, it's looked at as a credible album when it's just as generic as the rest of the top 40 and yet that doesn't get as good reviews.
