Share your converting someone to Gaga stories

Please share your Gaga convert stories :D 

So I have a friend who used to love Gaga back in the "Pokerface" and "Telephone" days. She wasn't even aware of ARTPOP last year when I told her about it. We got to talking about Gaga and she was like where has she been these days? I was like have you not heard Applause!? Have you not heard her latest album ARTPOP!? She said she hadn't. I showed her some pictures of the era and she was interested. I lent her the album to listen to and ponder over. The next day she had it on her iPhone and she had listened to the whole album She had Facebooked status'ed that she was listening to it. She wrote the lyrics as statuses too! She told me how much she loved Venus and GUY and Applause and the whole album. She started knowing a whole lot about Gaga pretty quickly. Sometimes she even knew about her latest looks or pictures BEFORE I did! 

Then comes her covers and Jazz album and all the way up to AHS! Shes hooked. She loves Gaga's looks, loves her voice as previewed at awards shows (the Oscars and Grammys lol) AHS - shes always like "Did you see Gaga in that trailer" - She still fond some looks weird but she started seeing what Gaga was going for in it! 

Makes me smile. I smother her everyday with Gaga stuff but shes bringing it to me now too! Its really awesome that I can talk to her about Gaga now, because alot of my friends roll their eyes. The thing that made me smile the most was the other day when she said there were rude people on the train talking about things she didn't want to hear. She said she put her headphones in and thought about the bets music she could listen to to drown it all out, escape to another world until she got to work and just zone out; Gaga! She's come a long way! I'm proud of her! She's not quite a Little Monster, but she is almost there! Next thing to do is bring her to a concert! Her only thing is she wants Gaga's man...I was like sorry hunny hes madly in love! :P 

This is just one story but yeah I have heaps of others. Be cool to see if anyone else has any stories!

I haven't converted anyone before but that's an interesting story to share. I hope more straight guys are able to be converted too cause those who tend to accept Gaga are usually females.

Well actually I converted my boyfriend's straight brother one night. Obviously it started with "damn she has a hot ass" etc then it went to Jewels N d--gs and cake like lady Gaga and Ratchet (instrumental) to get him hooked on that kind of sound. Then me and my BF just slayd him with all her videos, some live performances, live performance of "Whats going on" and even some Jazz. He went from saying "look at her tits" to "wow i get what shes doing there...shes really smart" and loving the fact she stood for something. He appreciates her now and lets us play her when hes around :D

I made 3 friends come with me to the BTWB and artRAVE, now they went from "LMAO u listen to Lady GaGa" to "I love ha!"

I had a friend who said he liked Lady Gaga, but I could tell he didn't know sheisse about her. His music library only had GUY and Telephone...

One day we were at my house having some drinks before going to a pride festival. I hadn't intended on showing him Gaga music that day, but Jewels & Drugs came on my shuffle and he went crazy. On our way to the festival we blared it on repeat. Not my favorite Gaga song, but I was happy lol.

Like 3 months later we took a road trip to Chicago with some friends and on the drive there we were blaring music and I chose Venus and Gypsy. I can't believe how blown away they were, I felt so accomplished.

By the time the weekend was over and we head back home, Venus, ARTPOP, MJH, and Swine became his favorite tracks off of... anything. He kept requested to hear Gaga more than I would have in a car of guys who are on the fence about her!

Cut to almost a year later, he knows every ARTPOP song and lyric. For some reason I can't get him hooked into Born This Way like I was/always am. But he's playing all her music at his parties and I'm happy about it lol

See alot of people that weren't that sure about her or don't know much about her actually enjoy ARTPOP once they are introduced to it! Its funny because i have that with a lot of people. Thats why I think its so important for people to listen to each album as though its a new experience and thats why I love this story! He'll like Born This Way down the track I'm sure but the fact you could get him to that stage where he was requesting it all the time and plays her music at parties is friggin awesome!

Jewels N Drugs seems to rope people in! its always a good ice breaker haha. And an awesome set of favourite tracks, for someone that wasn't so big on her to love Venus, ARTPOP, Swine and MJH thats really DOPE :P

Cheers to converting one person at a time :P But really just raising awareness about her art so people understand it better is all it takes. Take them away from the media and the public and let the music speak for itself, people fall head over heels!

I am a straight guy that was converted to Gaga about 3 years ago.

At the time I knew very little about her, disliked pop music in general and had always been into rock and heavy metal.

i didn't like her or her music AT ALL when I was first introduced to it and naturally resisted it and just didn't take it very seriously - but my friend was very persistent and slowly but surely I started to really love her looks, the sound of her voice, her live performances on YouTube and everything.

3 years on and I'm obsessed with her really, I have all of her albums on my phone, most of them on CD, a Gaga poster and some books in my room - I listen to her music every single day after work when I get home - it really helps me wind down and just takes me to a different place, I feel so differently about music in general now - Gaga is kind of an idol to me, after a year or so I had realised that I no longer listened to rock music at all, and I didn't miss it so I sold my music collection (and guitar) and have never looked back.

ive also bought a couple of Gaga t-shirts which I love but haven't really worm them out in public yet but I'm hoping it's only a matter of time, either way it feels so GOOD to be a little monster, I honestly feel like I have such a deep connection with Gaga when I listen to her music.

I have three: 

1. My cousin (he's 4) I didn't exactly convert him on a LM but I played some Gaga songs like 7 times on a row each one with their own video (brainwash ) ,so now at least he knows the name of some songs and can recognize Gaga in pictures

 

2. My younger brother: he didn't really care about music so every song I played he was like "This is cool" (except for Aura somehow) ,and then he started watching her videos and listening to her songs until he got hooked ,and now he's as obsessed as we are with Gaga and loves and knows everything about her.

 

3. My best friend: He was a LM during The Fame and TFM so I basically reminded him she was still making music and he started being a fan again

4. When I turned a fan it was really frustrating because when I finally assumed I was a fan and that I loved her, she announced she was having the hip surgery two days after
