She has said she is better at jazz than pop, she has been singing jazz longer than pop, and jazz comes more natural to her. Throughout her entire pop career she has been singing jazz from time to time, just not in her pop concerts. I think it is more likely than not that she will eventually do another jazz album. It'll keep things fresh, I mean she could do a stint on Broadway, a movie, or any number of other projects in between eras, or when she takes a break.
