Gaga's nose

It doesn't matter to me. If it makes her happy, it makes me happy. Doesn't make her less of a person to have work done. Plus it doesn't look different to me.

Ronlop did use the most recent public picture of her though, it's possible it was recent.

I think the issue here is that even if she did, it's not a bad thing.

Since when to paparazzi release RAW untouched images? They doctor every single image released because that's their job...

She still has the same old nose.

Zoom these.

I can see the bump and everything. The sunlight(?) creates illusion in some other pics.

It's still not the same nose as she had back in 2011 even.

I think around 2012 is when she made some changes, possibly a nose job.

You can clearly see the bump was much more visible (with ANY kind of makeup)  back then.

The bruising lasts for around three weeks and the significant swelling for up to six weeks. Has there been a time in the past few months where we haven't seen pictures of her at all for six weeks?

A nose job isn't a procedure that takes a few days to get over. It's not Botox or lip injections.

I get your point.

However, she was always about going against the current norms and challenging the term of 'beauty', as we know it today.

But part of her art, for me, was her messages, statements & fashion too. And when she starts to contradict part of what she standed for, it makes me wonder if it was all just a big act

"I'm here for Gaga's personality and music above all but it sucks to see her 'compromising' despite the fact that she stated that she does not want to compromise to anyone."

"Don't get me wrong, I am here because of Gaga's music and personality. The contradictions however are too much."

You are one of the most cleverly manipulative writers I've seen on the forum. It takes a lot of intelligence and wit to do what you do. For that, I'll give you props.

But, the introduction of a generally positive statement followed by a pry-bar issue (a potential nose-job) as a tool to up-heave the entire idea of Gaga's integrity is really over-cooking the steak. I get that you like making hit threads with lots of controversy. I get that you like to get as many people riled up as possible while being able to say that you were just genuinely concerned. I get that it's easier to pass a pill off if it's crushed up and hidden in some applesauce, but come on. Be real. If you think that a potential nose-job is that much of a seismic shift, then you'd already have had enough reasons to have this whole thing fully decided by now. The coy air of indecision with "I wonder if it was all a big act" is just stirring the pot in hope of bubbles.

Back when she had a hip surgery I'd say.

This was also the first time a signficant change in her nose was reported.

Gaga: "Everytime they told me to look beautiful, I just wanted to look more and more ugly"

pay attention to the context: they—her former manager, her label, society as a whole, etc—did not want her to project her true self because, according to their norms of beauty, she was not beautiful enough. in that sense, she did not rebel against the conventions of beauty directly: her only aim was, and still is, to be her truest self.

Bad Bromance

She said she is all about being rebellious and going against conventional beauty.

Doing a nose job or lifting your nose up (or whatever she did) is definitely one out of many examples of her going with the flow these days.

Don't get me wrong, I am here because of Gaga's music and personality. The contradictions however are too much.

I get what you're saying but people grow or change their outlook on things.  Gaga would go crazy trying to keep up with what she said a few years ago, just to ensure she doesn't contradict herself.

Gaga shouldn't be crucified if her fans hold her to every single statement she makes and then changes her mind about what she previously said.  As fans, I think we should assume that if she stated one thing before, it's not intended to be written in stone.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

It's the lighting and angle. The glare on her skin lines up exactly against the white background. It creates an optical illusion of sorts.
